By Candice Yeudall 000283248
September 15, 2012
A1. Viability of Product or Service
The Company (called TC for easy referencing) is a new start-up that is the off-shoot of an existing Construction Company (referenced as CC). The original company has been in business for over 15 years, and the owner (Stan), is a sole proprietor, operating with one to two employees, a part-time bookkeeper, and subcontractors as needed. TC is a limited partnership between Stan and another person, Don. Currently Stan has the controlling share of the company as he is providing the knowledge, reputation, funding, and sub-contractors. Don is working on the marketing and proposal side of the company with his main purpose being to bring in customers. TC has been incorporated for less than a year as of September 2012.
At this time TC has totally out paced it parent company as far as employee growth goes. They employ three estimators, two general contractors / site supervisors, a part-time bookkeeper, a part-time office manager, Stan (as a profit share), and Don. They also bring in numerous subcontractors for each job. TC has growth has been quite amazing, they started out with one project that took over six months to negotiate and another three before a deposit was made, and now have multiple projects finished, and more on the way. TC is currently working on five different projects and has another three scheduled to start in October of 2012.
TC is currently located in the city of Saskatoon in the Province of Saskatchewan Canada. Due to the nature of their service they have about 1000 square feet of office space that they use. The office space is used for writing up proposals, doing the pricing for projects, and connecting with clients and other members of the team. They currently serve smaller market areas

Doing Business in Colombia

...Business in Colombia, South America Tracy Rosser Athens State University November 30, 2015 Business in Colombia, South America Introduction/History “I’d rather be in a grave in Colombia, than in prison in the United States” said one of Columbia’s most famous drug lords, Pablo Escobar (Bowen, 2001). Although Colombia works hard to portray itself as a tourist destination that has a viable economy, it cannot totally rid itself for being known as the largest producer of cocaine in the world. This type of drug activity is big business and comes with its fair share of crime. Political unrest and high crime aside, Colombia seems to be focusing on legitimate business interests and doing business with this country would be a viable option. The name "Colombia" is derived from the last name of Christopher Columbus. The territory that became Colombia was first visited by Europeans when the first expedition of Alonso de Ojeda arrived at the Cabo de la Vela in 1499. The Spanish made several attempts to settle along the north coast of today's Colombia in the early 16th century, but their first permanent settlement, at Santa Marta, was not established until 1525. Cartagena was founded on June 1, 1533 by Spanish commander Pedro de Heredia, in the former location of the indigenous Caribbean Calamarí village. Cartagena grew rapidly, fueled first by the gold in the tombs of the Sinú Culture, and later by trade. In 1863 the name of the Republic was changed officially to "United States of...

...Website Optimization Paper Leah Chanthapanya November 4, 2013 EBUS/405 Professor Caleb Green In this paper, I will be making a few suggestions on how to improve the PPG Industries website to make it more convents for consumers, distributors, and collision shops. The topics that I want to suggest on improving the most are MSDS search engine, organization in the online ordering product, and advertising on the PPG Industries website. The numerous of complaints from the consumers are constantly calling for assistance to find certain materials or purchase items. However, as a Web support representative, I have to help and give advice to the consumer on how to maneuver through each web page, including e-mailing MSDS sheets, reset passwords, correcting purchasing orders, and directing consumers to the correct web page. Therefore, I have a few ideas on how to make the web page more suitable for those who are not tech savvy as the rest of the world. Improving the MSDS search engine The MSDS search engine or Material Safety Data Sheet is to assure on-the-job safety and minimize health risks, be sure to follow all applicable safety and health precautions for using PPG products (PPG Automotive Refinish , 2013). This search engine can find almost any product name or code, but it has to be only automotive paint. The main mistakes that customer has with this search engine are 1. Trying to find MSDS on house paint 2. Using the wrong product code or no product name in the...

Montana Mountain Biking Case

...The Montana Mountain Biking Case The Montana Mountain Biking Case Montana Mountain Biking Company has been in business for 16 years providing guided mountain biking trips at four locations in Montana. The success of the company is linked to retaining its customers. Eighty percent of the customers who sign up for the one week guided mountain biking expedition are repeat customers (University Of Phoenix, 2007). An important part of any marketing plan is to understand the customer relationship because ultimately, all profits come from the customers. The challenges facing the Montana Mountain Biking company is not only retaining customers but to attract new customers. The advances in e-marketing have given Montana Mountain Biking some alternatives to traditional marketing plans. The Five Stages of Customer Loyalty Customer loyalty comes from the personal relationship that is developed between the customer and the business. One method used to understand the customer relationship is called customer relationship intensity and Life-cycle segmentation (UOP, 2007). This process includes classifying all the customer relationships into one of five groups. The first of the five groups includes customers who are aware of the business or service. This is considered the weakest of the groups because in the beginning of the relationship and the customer knows little or nothing about the company. The second group of customers is those who have explored or expressed interest in the...
