Effective job advertisements These are two job advertisements that I regard as effective. Advertisement 1 is about recruiting teacher or advisor and Advertisement 2 is about recruiting events executive. Both of the advertisements showed above are suitable to publish on newspaper because it is a good way to source for blue-collar and clerical employees. Based on the guide AIDA (attention, interest, desire, action), the title of both advertisements had caught my attention because the font size of the title is bigger. Especially Advertisement 2, it contains a picture, which made the advertisement looks more attractive. Due to the words have already caught my attention, it makes me feel like reading the whole advertisements. Furthermore, I figured out the advertisements stated the job responsibilities and requirement very clearly, it brings out important message to the people who is looking for job. Advertisement 1 is offering full time and part-time positions, so those people with job or without job can join the company too! However, Advertisement 2 which is posted by iM4U, is a non-profit organization, so it needs people who volunteer to join them, it did not offer part-time job. Although they lose a point at convincing people by offering good remuneration, to people who have passion to help improve Malaysian Youth, there’s an opportunity to exert their creativity. Lastly, both of the advertisements are being very clear about action what they want their readers to take. They stated their contact numbers, company address and email correctly, so people will not be confusing when they want to contact the company.

Anywhere from using a short video advertisement to just using a simple picture. Every company has been known to do it and it is not just because it is fun to do. They do it for one simple reason. To get somebody or something’s attention. One ad that seems to be very attention getting is by an organization called The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF). They do a great job of using the three most well-known forms of advertisement, which are ethos, pathos, and logos.
