Can you still remember your first love?
A Little Thing Called Love, First Love or more popularly known as "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" is a romantic Thai movie that can surely make you fall in love again... A movie that can bring back the memories of your sweet first love. A movie that will claim a lot of your tears. A movie that can make you smile... and laugh! A movie about life, love, friendship, loyalty and teenage love rolled into one. A movie worth watching.

A Crazy Little Thing Called Love was released on August 12, 2010. A year has passed and this movie still continues to make waves in Asia. The lead actors of this movie are the hot hunk Mario Maurer and the gorgeous lady Pimchanok Lerwisetpibol
Crazy Little Thing Called Love or First Love also in some sites they refer to it as A Little Thing Called Love is one of the few Thai movies that I have seen. To be honest I was not interested at Thailand‘s entertainment industry until I saw this film. Basing from the title, even before seeing the trailer it is easy to infer that this is a romantic-comedy film, and it is. Moreover it is about young love, more than 90% of the story are set in the characters’ high school life; this adds up to the movie’s lightness because of the then innocence of the young characters. Everyone who has been through high school and has had experience(s) of “love/infatuation/it-is-just-your-hormones-working-kid” can relate to this, as they have included in the trailer “this is a true story of everyone”. After seeing the film, I knew that this movie has been automatically added to my top feel-good films.

Fraternities and Sororities

...Chapter One Introduction Fraternities and sororities are organizations that play vital roles in one’s college life, the educative community of colleges and universities, and the society that these organizations are in. These organizations are present in about eighty-five percent of all the colleges and universities around the world. Commonly referred to as Greek societies these organizations provide great opportunities for college students to develop their skills and appreciate their interests with peers whom they call and consider brothers or sisters. Being part of a Greek society poses a number of advantages to individuals that are in their college years. Membership in a fraternity or sorority gives students the opportunity to meet new people and enjoy college life while still excelling academically. These organizations provide greater fields for their members to excel in what they do best and discover more things and gain more knowledge about themselves. These Greek organizations present wider social and career networking thus making school and employment easier for their members. But while Greek societies present such number of advantages, the brotherhood or sisterhood also has its own set of disadvantages especially for new recruits, pledges and neophytes. Cases of abusive initiation rites, criminal behaviors and sexual assaults are frequently acquainted to the concept of Greek societies most especially fraternities. Due to these Greek societies are also frequently...

Hazing

...dangerous form of harassment and intimidation. Hazing is done to an individual as a way of initiating a person into a group or organization. Since 1965, there have been over one hundred people who have been killed or died in the United States due to hazing activities on college campuses in connection with fraternities and sororities alone (Hazing.hanknuwer.com). The actual number of fatalities due to hazing is probably much higher when other groups and organizations such as social groups, high schools, sports teams, military units, the work place and gangs, amongst others, are considered as well. Currently, there is no official U.S. government organization that officially tracks the number of fatalities due to hazing (Hazing.hankunwer.com). Further, there are forty four states that have laws against hazing, but they are often not enforced. The majority of hazing deaths occur because the activity or ritual is excessive and participants become over zealous. Further, a participant's ability to reason and be rational is often impaired because alcohol and other drugs are taken and abused by those involved in the ritual. Victims of hazing often do not complain because their desire to join the group or organization is of such paramount importance that their judgment is clouded (High School Hazing). A great deal of hazing occurs among teenagers in high school and...

Drinking Age Debate

...The ongoing and seemingly endless battle between the youth of America and the government has for years been a major focal point in the opinions and debates in society. Questions, comments and concerns revolving around how and what the system should do about the limits teenagers have only added to the stereotypical yet evidently true battle between the youth and the more matured adults. In one case, teens have suffered losses as big as having to complete school or acquire a GED to reach a certain level of employment. While in other cases, the fight for earning one’s driving license at the age of sixteen appealed to the favor of teens. Currently, the dispute that is now being presented touches a subject that if ever addressed by the government, would change the way America operates forever: the age of consent for drinking. The debate is simple- the teens want it lowered against the adults who would like it to stay the same. The issue stirs major controversy mainly to focus on the safety of young adults, and how the consumption of alcohol can affect the mortality rate in their age bracket. However, there are firm rebuttals that show that lowering the legal drinking age to eighteen can not only benefit society, is the only fair addition to the list of rights and privileges one assumes when they reach America’s definition of adulthood. The pros and cons of the issue both have their strong and weak points aimed towards convincing their respective counter retorts. Yet when push comes...

Binge Drinking Notes

...45 percent of college students reported at least one occasion of binge drinking within the previous 2 weeks. March 26, 2004: The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse reports that, “More than five million high schoolers binge drink at least once a month.” As a Floridian who lives near one of the 'Spring Break" hot spots, this comes as no great shock. I guess there are a lot of parents out there who are surprised by these numbers and yet, what were they doing in college or when the drinking age was 18? How do you expect your kid to just say no, when you said yes not that long ago? Talk to your teenagers and be honest with them! ~ Amy. RN ~ [pic] While some national surveys have documented a significant decline in the use of other drugs by high school seniors and college-age youths, there have been only small declines in the numbers reporting binge drinking. Teenagers and young adults drink alcoholic beverages at about the same rates they did 5 years ago. Binge drinking increases the risk for alcohol-related injury, especially for young people, who often combine alcohol with other high-risk activities, such as impaired driving. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the four leading injury-related causes of death among youths under the age of 20 are motor vehicle crashes, homicides, suicides, and drowning. Alcohol is involved in many of these deaths. Sexual encounters with their risks of pregnancy, STDs, and HIV exposure, as well as date rape...

...College Students Expenses By Anne Jones Going to a top college can be hard because it is really costly. A student and his family must be prepared by all means to keep this commitment to further a student's education. So awareness of how much your college education would be is critical because it is not limited to tuition fees. There can be more expenses to be expected when a student goes to college. Let us look at the general list of what a student pays in college. First would be tuition fee. Tuition fees can be at the range of $6000 - $25,000 for a four year course. Take note that public colleges have smaller tuition fees than private colleges. So look to this as an option. Second would be living in colleges. A student in college usually would try to find work in between to cover the cost of living. It is something that should be considered before going to college because you have to think of things like rent, food, bills and other travel costs. A common student would need an average of $1,000 extra for these extra expenses. Third are the materials you need to study. These are the givens like books, bags, IT equipment and could cost to at least $2,000 a year. So it is important to be able to budget before you go to college. Make sure you leave yourself some extra money monthly for self use. Try to find a monthly average of your expenses so you could allocate your funds accordingly. Going to college is a big investment but in the long run the education you get would allow...

Effect of Branding on Consumer Buying Behaviour

...CHAPTER-1 INTRODUCTION “Brands are like human beings. They are born, fed and nurtured, made strong and responsible so that they can be faithful friends of the people (customers), form mutually beneficial and satisfying relationships with them and become their companions for life. Such brands, make their parents (organization or corporate) proud of them. The best brands are the ones who help in forming and sustaining strong long term “parent-brand-people” relationships. These brands form the potential for present growth and future expansion. They help the organizations conquer peaks at the time of booms and stay afloat and swim at times of depression.” We come across a number of brands in our daily lives. Our morning starts with using a toothpaste (Colgate, Pepsodent or Close-up), using a bathing soap (Lux, Fairglow or Cinthol) and shampoo (Clinic All Clear or Vatika), wearing clothes ( Allen Solly, Levi’s or Raymonds), breakfast bread (Britannia or Modern) and butter (Amul) or jam (Kissan), lunch and dinner (Nature Fresh or Pillsbury flour and Safal vegetables), morning and evening tea and coffee (Tetley, Nescafe or Bru), going out in a car (Hyundai Santro, Honda Accord or Mercedes Benz). Talking on the cell phone (Motorola, Nokia, Siemens or Samsung), watching television in the evening (LG, Sony or Philips) or listening to music (Philips or Apple) etc. But how often do we think of what all a company does to put a positive imprint (fight for a shelf space) in the mind of...
