When you are having a bad day, your friends are there for you. They help you to get through the hard times in life and make you feel better. They are always there for you. You are the recipient of their love and kindness. They are also there through longer hard times. When something tragic happens in a family or school, they are there for you. They are there to support you and to help you out. You lean on them to get you through the hard times. |
Likewise, when a friend is having a hard time, you are there for her. You support her and love her. Show her that you really care by talking to her when she needs to talk. Spend hours talking at night on the phone telling her that it really is going to be ok or that she is really a great beautiful wonderful person. Having confidence in herself is one of the most important things when going through a hard time. She needs to know that she really is a great person and that just because something went wrong or that her boyfriend broke up with her doesn't mean that she is bad too.
When a friend moves far away, it can be hard. You don't always know how to move on and keep the friendship going. Email each other constantly and call each other on the phone. If you have the opportunity, visit each other. Take turns so that your friend can come back and visit you and see how things have changed and go see your friend in her new place.
