Elias Boudinot (ca. 1740-1821) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born to Elias Boudinot the third and Mary Catherine Williams. He was one of the four children that actually made it to adulthood. As he grew up, he went to Princeton in New Jersey and became and attorney. He practiced in Elizabeth, New Jersey. With this, he influenced many people to do what people thought of religion. In 1777, he was appointed New Jersey Commissary-General of Prisoners. Later that year, he was also elected a delate in Continental Congress. In 1781 he also served in the United States in Congress Assembled.
