...Final Project- Kitchen Renovation Mary Shaw Project Overview: This project involves the remodeling of the kitchen by removing current walk in pantry and moving it to the other side of the kitchen. This remodel also includes making dining room space out of area where the old panty was. We are also relocating the laundry room and adding a powder room. We will be replacing the fixtures, tiles, adding doors and a toilet and sink. Our objective is to create a whole new environment and one that is accommodating us with the evolving changes in our lives also as one that offers a feeling of comfort and family on a daily basis. Problem/ Result Statement: There is currently no dining room for family dinners or every day meals; there is no bathroom accessible without going through the master bedroom or guest room. Mission Justification: The mission is to build a family foundation that emanates a spiritual strength which focuses on promoting a sense of peace and tranquility with oneself. The remodeling of the kitchen will undoubtedly reflect this philosophy because the new dining room, addition of powder room and relocating the laundry room will change the feel and look of the house. ...Career Research Paper I have designed this assignment as a step by step guide to walk my students through the research process. Of course, you may adjust it as you feel is necessary according to the level of students you are working with. This project explains in detail everything they need to research, as well as, giving them real world insight into what to expect in a career in terms of education, job duties and responsibilities and income. I begin by having them take a reality check quiz on the Jump Start Coalition website. This little quiz helps them determine how much money they will need to earn in order to live the lifestyle they would like to have. This income amount in turn helps open their eyes to the type of job necessary to achieve that income and what amount of education is involved. It was a real wake up call for many of my students. In this package I have also included a grading rubric for the project and a list of possible career choices for their assignment. Student Instructions You will be writing a research paper on a career chosen from the attached list. Think carefully about which career you chose to research. ...by choice and all eventually were integrated into the “American society” to become a homogenous people. These immigrants had a vision, work ethic, values, fortitude, imagination, and pioneering spirit which enabled her to become the greatest nation on earth. While it took longer for some than others, they and their descendents ultimately became "One nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all." Many, but not all, modern immigrants to the United States are not much different. However, unlike the distant past, immigration now consists of two components: legal and illegal. This research paper will not even attempt to cover the many contributions that legal immigrants are currently making to this country. This paper will, however, explore various aspects and direct consequences of illegal immigration that many people are unaware of and most people do not know the full extent of. In this paper, I will explore some of the collateral damage of...

We were asked to examine whether there were any policy barriers that may prevent the full extent of any benefits of mobile services from being realised. In the event that policy and legislative barriers were found, we were asked to identify recommendations for change. In recent years, the mobile industry in Bangladesh has developed at an extraordinary rate. Today there are approximately ten million mobile customers and coverage extends to 90% of the population. With a population of 44 million (2005 figures), Bangladesh is the seventh most populous country in the world. After comparing quality disclosure with other quality assurance mechanisms and describing a brief history of quality disclosure, we address two sets of theoretical issues. First, why don’t sellers voluntarily disclose through a process of “unraveling” and, given the lack of unraveling, is it desirable to mandate seller disclosure? Second, when we rely on certifiers to act as the intermediary of quality disclosure, do certifiers necessarily report unbiased and accurate information? We further review empirical evidence on these issues, with a particular focus on healthcare, education, and finance. The empirical review covers quality measurement, the effect of third-party disclosure on consumer choice and seller behavior, as well as the economics of certifiers. Business

...Business aims and Activities Private sector aims The aim of a business in the private sector is to survive by making a profit. This may be a sole trader working alone, like a newsagent, or thousands of shareholders in a large Public Limited Company. Businesses gain a larger market-share [a percentage of overall sales in an industry] by increasing the sales of their products against competitors. This may involve reducing prices. To win the loyalty of customers and encourage repeat sales [Customers returning to buy the product from the same business], businesses need to be reliable and provide a quality service to their customers. Private sector activities The activities of industry can be divided into stages - primary, secondary and tertiary production. These stages form the chain of production and provide consumers with the finished goods. Primary production This involves acquiring raw materials. For example, metals and coal have to be mined; oil drilled from the ground; rubber tapped from trees; foodstuffs farmed, and fish trawled. This is sometimes known as extractive production. Secondary production Is the manufacturing and assembly process. This involves converting raw materials into components, eg making plastics from oil, and assembling the product, eg building houses, bridges and roads. Tertiary production This refers to the commercial services that support the production and distribution process, eg insurance, transport, advertising, warehousing and...
