Lebanon High School Lebanon high school Student Emily Gipson is trying to speak her opinion and make a difference in her high school and in the community. But others have a different point of view. Emily filmed her speech in a classroom of her attended high school, although the principal Mr.Walters doesn't appreciate the speech being filmed in the classroom without permission.Emily proceeds to explain that she had two coaches permission but that isn't enough. Mr.Walter says “People could learn from Gipson’s viewpoint”. But he also says “The video hurt feelings, and those of teachers, too”. I believe the teachers and staff are avoiding the point of Emily's speech because they know they have failed to take effect of the hazardous bullying issues. Who can be happy and alive walking through blank hallways and sitting in blank classrooms for hours? Exactly you can’t be. Sitting and walking through blank hallways and classrooms with nothing to smile about because students are having to think about what the bullies are gonna do to them next, or they have to figure out how to deal with the situation without telling someone. There needs to be communication and friendliness so that students don’t have to turn to suicide to solve their problems. But obviously Mr.Walters doesn’t care about the point of the video because he could influence it and make a difference. Although he just wants to punish Emily and say kids will be kids. She got two days of in school suspension for trying to speak for her fellow classmates. And put an end to bullying and self
