How I choose my car
Kevin T Wells
ITT TECH
How I choose my car
When choosing a car there are multiple things that I look into. I have provided some of the things that I look for below.
Make of car
The first thing I want to decide is what make of car im wanting. With all the options this decision also goes hand in hand with what type of vehicle im wanting. For example if im going to get a truck im more likely to stay with Ford. Where if im going for a van I would stay with Chrysler
Deciding on type/model of vehicle
So after deciding who I want to get a vehicle from I now need to figure out what kind of vehicle im wanting. When I made the first choice of who I was getting a vehicle from I already had a general idea of what I was wanting but its in this stage that I comb it with a fine tooth comb.
Deciding on any premiums.
So now that I have picked my vehicle out lets choose the cool stuff. What color do I want on it? What sound system or premium upgrades do I want on it? Do I want dvd players in the back for the kids? Or would I prefer to have a navigation system in the front? Or would I want everything upgraded to the max?
Now we look at pricing.
Now we have to deal with the bad stuff pricing. Nobody likes this but its important that your getting the most out of your money. Once I have one price I would leave the dealer with nothing. Check around at other places can anybody beat those prices. You also would want to do some heart searching. Are you sure you want this vehicle and all the extras you choose.
The final decision.
So now we have choosen the make, kind, upgrades, and pricing. Its time to sign the papers and drive off the lot with our new vehicle. But guess what the choices still exist. Now we have to decide what kind of gas we want to use regular? Maybe premium? Then oil what kind? The bottom line is lookover all your choices and make the choice that is best for you.

...Walking into the carnival the first thing I notice is the ticket booths. The ticket booth has red, white and blue flashing lights. I can see all different type of people running around young and old. It looks as though there are several hundred people at the carnival. The smell of cotton candy and popcorn is very strong in the air. There is a giant Ferris wheel turning in the sky. I can see the people that are on the ride waving their hands, kicking their feet and screaming to the top of their lungs. The kids are having such a wonderful time as they slam into each other while driving the bumping cars. I see people standing in line at the food booths waiting to purchase some of the cuisine which include hot dogs, hamburger, and seafood just to name a few. As the music from the band echos across the carnival grounds, I see people dancing to the tunes that the band is playing. The crowd is excited. They are sweating as they are thudding their feet, and swaying their arms. I’m looking at all the smiles that are on the people’s faces which make me believe that everyone is having a wonderful time at the carnival. The first thing that I took into consideration when writing my description was the audience. I was explaining the carnival to my friend who had on a blindfold. I also considered the type of descriptive language that I would use to evoke the senses and set the tone. Setting the tone is an important element that is used to engage your audience. It is also important to try...

...Alyssa Bauman En1320 Lab3 “Why We Crave Horror Movies” by Steven King presents an intriguing philosophy of watching horror movies. I believe that the purpose behind this article is to appeal to the reader’s unrealized dark side. King implies that are able to overcome their hysterical fear of things when they’re confronted with it and watching a horror movie is the easiest way to do that. He explains that in some way we all have this courage to overcome our deepest fears and one of the ways we show it is placing ourselves, in this case a movie theater, directly in front of what we know will scare us. The intended audience for this article is most likely the younger age demographic. Horror Movies are especially popular with ages 15-35. When you are younger you have this need to seek out new experience and thrills. Throughout the essay King directs a message to the young by making a comparison of horror movies to roller coasters describing the excitement that is felt throughout the ride. King is trying to persuade his reading audience to watch horror movies that bring his popularity up because he has books that have been made into movies. Although persuasive, King's article does not have factual evidence to solidify his argument that we all crave horror movies. The article uses many rhetorical strategies such as: compare and contrast, analysis and evaluation, cause and effect, absolutes, generalizations, and assumptions. King's ability to use these strategies demonstrates...

...Is Pro Wrestling fake or real? EN1320 Comp1 Research Paper IIT-Tech As long time avid fan of pro wrestling I always get ask is pro wrestling is fake? Sure pro wrestling is a male oriented soap opera, that storylines and matches do have predetermined outcome. Predetermined meaning the refs, wrestlers and bookers know who is going to win or lose a match before the actual match starts. Yes the hazards can be real inside the squared circle because if a wrestler receives or takes a “bump” the wrong way. It could be a career ending injury that wrestler might not even wrestle again. That being said every pro wrestler trains day in and day out to insure nobody gets hurt in the squared circle. For the untrained eye or people who don’t follow wrestling do not factor that in. Now the question that is always topic of debate about pro wrestling is it a sport or entertainment? Pro wrestling is part entertainment part sport because Greco Roman wrestling style it uses. The moves preformed like headlocks, suplexs and slams come from the Greco Roman wrestling style. Pro wrestling uses “Gimmicks” meaning the persona, usually artificially created; one has in order to draw fan interest. Here is where the entertainment comes into play for pro wrestling. Without the entertainment aspect of it, pro wrestling would boring, stale and not really fun to watch. En1320 Annotated Bibliography

...Summary of annotated bib EN1320 I am doing my research paper on sex offenders and what their lives are like after being incarcerated and then released into society again. I read a few articles that talk about sex offenders in a few different states. In the first article it speak about how Minnesota at one point had no laws as far as sex offenders having to register where they live at and work as a sex offender. There was a woman who had a son who was abducted at the age of 12 and he was never found she sought out justice for this. In her investigations she found that other states had laws for sex offenders where they would have to register in their county as an offender and they could not live within a certain amount of distance where there could possibly be kids around. The woman suggested that if this law were in place in her home town where her son was abducted from then the possibility of this every happening would be slim because at least the surrounding neighbors would be aware that there was someone living around them that was a possible danger to children. I agree that all states should have a law in place that states all offenders must be registered and the public should have access to view records. In my second article they speak about a little town in Florida there is a home that offenders go to after being incarcerated for so long. In this place they are waiting out the rest of their time. There are a lot of people who say that the home for these men is...

This speech took place in Philadelphia, PA at the National Constitution Center. This speech was given during the 2008 Presidential race and looks to address the concerns regarding video of controversial and racially charged comments made by former pastor Jeremiah Wright which seemed to playing on loop in every media outlet possible. He also addressed the subjects of racial tension and race and inequality in the United States. From the beginning of the speech, it is evident that the most effective appeal that Obama chooses to use is ethos. As a rhetoric tool, ethos is used to establish character. Ethos is an appeal to ethics, and it is a means of convincing someone of the character or credibility of the persuader (Examples of Ethos, Logos, and Pathos). In order to establish an effective ethos, the speaker must present themselves in a way that will make the audience believe what they say. A strong example of this is when he uses the quote “We the people, in order to form a more perfect union”. In referring to the U.S Constitution, this compels the audience to make a connection of significance and importance between his speech and that of the Constitution...

En1320 Making Choices

...Making Choices What is it that defines a persons’ life? A persons’ life is purely defined by the choices and decisions that a person makes. A person may believe that they are something on the inside but, in reality their actions are what will be their legacy not their thoughts and feelings. Everything that you decide will have consequences both good and bad. The important thing to realize is that a person is in control of those decisions. What one must decide is to continue on their decision making track or to change it depending on the perceived consequences. This is where one must come to the conclusion that a person is solely responsible for the outcome of every decision that they make. If someone wants good consequences from their decisions then they will make sure that all the elements in order to make those consequences prevail. If they want ill consequences then they will not do anything to prevent those bad elements from becoming. What elements are in a decision making process? Every person goes through the same decision making process in a matter of moments whether they realize it or not. The first step in this process is always asking one’s self the question of ways the decision. Whether a person goes left or right for example. The next step is determining the possible consequences of each possible side of the decision. Understanding whether left or right will lead to good or bad possible consequences is typically the biggest deciding factor in a persons' decision...

...Drafting an Essay Among all the different technologies in use today, I believe unmanned vehicles have the most promise and beneficiary outcome. Unmanned vehicles are defined as aerial or ground vehicle able to sustain a flight path or guided ground path without the need of onboard crew, human pilot, or driver. Since the first recorded use of an unmanned vehicle for war fighting in 1849 by the Austrians, the technology has proven to be useful in many area such as; wildlife monitoring, agriculture mapping, thermal infrared power line surveys, law enforcement, telecommunications, weather monitoring, aerial imaging/mapping, television news coverage, sporting events, moviemaking, Environmental monitoring, oil and gas exploration, and freight transport. Today we have updated the designs and improved the technology so much and will continue to do so. With the growing use of unmanned vehicles it is predicted it could result in more than 34,000 manufacturing jobs and more than 70,000 new jobs in 3 years. “As new jobs are created, additional money is spent at the local level, creating additional demand for local services, which in turn, creates even more jobs (i.e., grocery clerks, barbers, school teachers, home builders, etc.). These indirect and induced jobs are forecast and included in the total jobs created.” Though the economic benefits will not be distributed evenly. En1320 Project Part 1

...Exploring and Researching Your Chosen Profession By Robert Maddox EN1320 In this new age of the second industrial revolution, a time where skills in technology are essential to succeed in a competitive work force, cybersecurity is at an utmost priority for many companies and individuals alike. It's here where I feel I can make a truly important impact upon society, all while working with a sense of purpose and success. One can't watch television without the constant reminder of identity theft or devastating hacks by secretive individuals hidden behind false IP addresses and the like. Whether it's a commercial for credit scores and security or shows like Mr. Robot, cybersecurity is on everyone's mind, subconsciously or otherwise. And these issues are only going to increase as technology advances and the internet becomes more readily accessible to terrorists. As a veteran, my duty to protect American citizens did not simply stop when my contract ended with Uncle Sam. Ideally, I would accomplish this through the Federal Bureau of Investigations. There are many criteria to complete in order to accomplish this, and I am in no way close to this, yet one must start somewhere and this degree will be my first step. I have always been interested in computer technology, even if it merely stemmed from my long term relationship with video games. Rebuilding computers and achieving better performance came second nature to me and computers just make sense...

...EN1320 Final Research Paper | The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it. (Gen. 2:15, Revised Standard Version) In the beginning man was given the responsibility for keeping the earth. As good care takers it’s our responsibility to ensure the survival of all the animals and plants on earth. The earth is made up of elements, and within those elements are the countless numbers of species, each interwoven within the fabric of life itself. The effects of man on the environment have a negative reaction to all other species. Studies of earth’s history show mass extinction events. Scientist project we are living within such an event. The world is heading toward imminent mass species extinction. A healthy earth may not be possible due to the irreversible effect brought on my man. Endangered plants and animals face the risk of becoming extinct, disappearing completely from the world of living things. Human survival has had such an effect on all other species around them. Hunting, fishing, or gathering may have reduced the populations of many species to levels too low for the species to survive, especially when there is a profitable trade in goods made from wild animals and plants. (Current Issues, 2010) The Earth should be big enough of all plants and animals to thrive but according to the American Association for the Advancement of Science, humans are using about half the available land. En1320 Week 3

...Writers block is a very common thing that can happen to anyone at any given point. Here are to strategies that I believe can help me at any given point. The first one is writing an email to a friend or even to you. The second one is to stop procrastinating; I find that a lot of people, even myself, are a big victim to this one. When it comes down to writing an email to a friend or yourself, I feel this is a great strategy because if your mind does go blank you have templates to return too at any given point. On top of that if you do lose any of your writings it is always good to have a second copy not backed up on your computer. It can be on your phone or on a good friend’s computer. My other selection is procrastination. There are a lot of people out there that are the biggest victims of this. I feel the best way to avoid this is to just jump into it. Start whatever writing you’re doing immediately while it is fresh in your mind. When you wait to get your writing started it is no longer fresh in your mind. The two strategies I love to use when I feel like I am running blank are talking to my family and playing on my phone for a little. Talking to my family always helps and I feel this will be a benefit in the future is just due to how much my family helps me and give me good suggestions every time I go blank. My phone is a weird on and people would think it is more of a distraction, but it’s not. My phone is a little bit of a getaway. When I start to get stressed...

That is how I felt before I decided to go back to school. I realized that without a college education that my life was going nowhere. I had no future. I had to break out of this pit that had become my life and chosen job. Without a college degree I was going nowhere had no future. Deciding to get a degree is all good and well, but what degree what path? How does one go about making a decision of this magnitude? It is an overwhelming task that can be frightening. It’s like looking up from the bottom of a hundred foot deep pit and trying to figure out how to get out of the pit and back into the sunlight, it’s scary. Well I know that I enjoyed working with and building computers, and I enjoyed the security field. I started searching to see if combining these 2 fields was feasible or possible. To my delight and pleasure there was a degree program that did cover both of these fields together it was called Cybersecurity. After reading up on Cybersecurity I felt it was a field that I would enjoy. But what exactly is Cybersecurity? After much research what I discovered is that Cybersecurity is different technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access....
