Besides that, this survey also will show how people react through the every email that they receive in spam and how they react for email that they didn’t have the information of the email. Then the action of the email user to avoid having junk email that can affect theirs computer and overall action towards this problem.

Research objective

The objective for this survey is to find solution to determine the email is a scam or not. Besides that, this survey also allows people to realize about the awareness of internet email scammer. The information that I receive will show the public awareness to this kind of problem and also provide me some suggestion due to find the solution. Besides that, through survey we want to find solution for user to manage junk mail that they receive and how to recognize if the sender of the mail is being hacked or not.

Data collection process

This survey will conduct through online survey among my friend who is also an email user. This survey was sent to 5 students among the UUM. The survey content questionnaire about how they react towards email that didn’t have any information of the sender, what their solution and also if they have encounter any type of email that consist Nigeria sting operation, phishing and stock manipulation schemes or any kind of scam email.

Result and recommendation

Through the survey that I have conducted the result show 4/5 person that answer the survey show that most of student didn’t have awareness about the survey that I conduct. they didn’t encounter email that consist of Nigeria sting operation but 1/5 person have encounter email like phishing which is consist email that require user to password and access code but they action is to ignore this kind of email. For the stock manipulation schemes the student didn’t encounter this kind of email maybe this is because of they still student. Next is about junk mail that they receive question, all of the student that take this survey never receive an email from people that they didn’t recognize and to if they encounter any junk mail from person that they know they will first check their will Look at the full headers (usually hidden) on one of the junk messages as received. Among the headers are a bunch of postmarks, lines beginning "Received:". The oldest one explains how the message was first launched into the e-mail network; subsequent ones (farther up toward the top) track its travel to you. If the early ones name a server on your e-mail provider (Yahoo, Hotmail, Google, or whatever) that tends to suggest that your account was hacked and only 1 student have this because he is a IT student. None of student that take this survey ever receive any chain letter email from any friend. 2/5-person encounter with email that contain virus that attached to email. Through my research the virus in an email are either executable program file such as .exe, .zip, .scr and others. file or macro file viruses like type of file like .doc, .dot and .xls. the safety to avoid them is not to open email attachments. If the email sender is someone you know then just download the file and scan the file with anti-virus in your computer. The second person is infected by email in the email body which is contain html element that use to embed pictures and links. For this kind of virus same method use like the first person which is don’t open it instead download it then scan it with anti-virus inside the computer. Through the survey also 2 person use Avira anti-virus as a protection for keep their computer from virus included the email virus. While the 2 other person didn’t have any kind of virus protection for their computer and next student is only install it on computer and didn’t know how to use this anti-virus software to protect his computer from virus that cause by an email. To handle attachment on incoming messages the user chooses not to open the email instead download so that the email file can be scan by computer virus so that they not infected virus if the email consists any kind of virus. If user receive attachment email from unknown sender, then take the safety way that is by delete the email, these answer is from student that know how to use the anti-virus software on their computer.

Conclusion

In conclusion, through this survey result it show that majority of email user didn’t take serious on email virus and scammer that scam through the spam email. This shown by the survey conducted which is the answer are never have spam email that consist of any schemes but only receive spam email form e-commerce site. In addition, majority of them didn’t have ever encounter junk mail from person that they recognize and only 1 student that take this survey know how to identify if the junk mail he receive is from hacked sender or not because he is IT student. Same thing happen for the virus survey part that most of them only know 2/5 student that experienced virus cause by an email while the other 3 never encounter such thing this maybe they just create email account for study purpose. The uses of anti-virus protection from survey result, only 2 person uses the protection and know how to use this software to detect a virus from an email. While 2 person didn’t have anti-virus on their computer and 1 student have anti-virus but only for the computer which mean he didn’t know how to use this anti-virus protection to protect him from virus from an email. To handle attachment on incoming messages the user chooses not to open the email instead download so that the email file can be scan by computer virus so that they not infected virus if the email consists any kind of virus. If user receive attachment email from unknown sender, then take the safety way that is by delete the email, these answer is from student that know how to use the anti-virus software on their computer

...Entrepreneurs must address three important aspects before starting a new venture. They should have clearly defined goals, a sound strategy and should check the feasibility whether the plan is executable or not. If entrepreneurs have clear goals they will be passionate about them, which greatly enhances their chances to succeed. The next action steps are always in lined with keeping the goal in mind. For example, the action steps might differ if someone wants to get into the restaurant business as compared to someone who wants to start his/her own clothing line. If the entrepreneur does not have a clear goal then he/she cannot formulate a successful business plan and strategy. While setting goals, entrepreneurs should set both long term and short term goals. For instance, short term goal of an entrepreneur might be to start a small restaurant specializing in serving a particular type of cuisine. The long term goal of the entrepreneur must help him/her to decide whether he/she wants to develop a chain of restaurants across locations specializing in serving the same type of cuisine or to transform the same restaurant into a multi-cuisine restaurant. The entrepreneur must also decide whether he/she wants to own the restaurant in the future or sell it at a handsome price earning larger profits and move on. The entrepreneur also needs to decide whether he/she plans to generate immediate higher revenues by setting the prices high during the initial stages or alternatively gain a loyal...

Significance of Entrepreneurship in economic growth This study confirms that the level of entrepreneurship in a given country has a significant positive effect on the level of economic growth in that country. Contrary to some established theories, this study has found evidence that the level of entrepreneurship in a given country is not explained by the levels of the traditional causes of economic growth in that country (specifically the amounts of labor, capital, and knowledge that a country possesses as well as the presence or absence of market friendly government policies). Instead, entrepreneurship acts as an independent...

...1. What is sustained growth? It’s the growth between revenues and profits over a sustained period. Why is it important? Human capital is the most single factor for sustained growth. Entrepreneurs know that growth means there is hope for another day of success. When there a demand on your product is rising, you grow your company. 2. Describe economies of scale and economies of scope as rationales for firm growth. . Economies of scale are the cost advantages that a business can exploit by expanding their scale of production.  The effect of economies of scale is to reduce the average costs of production. Some examples of how economies of scale work: Technical economies of scale: Large-scale businesses can afford to invest in expensive and specialist capital machinery. For example, a supermarket chain such as Acme or Wegman’s can invest in technology that improves stock control. It might not, however, be viable or cost-efficient for a small corner shop to buy this technology. Specialization of the workforce: Larger businesses split complex production processes into separate tasks to boost productivity. By specializing in certain tasks or processes, the workforce is able to produce more output in the same time. Marketing economies of scale: A large firm can spread its advertising and marketing budget over a large output and it can purchase its inputs in bulk at negotiated discounted prices if it has sufficient negotiation power in the market. A good example would be the ability...

...Entrepreneurship and Government Support Name: Evans Gwaro Institution: Kisii University Entrepreneurship and Government Support Introduction Economic development requires people who are willing to risk their resources to start and operate profit-oriented enterprises in a country. This is the sole responsibility of entrepreneurs. Some scholars argue that entrepreneurship can be given definitions from different viewpoints such as theoretical or operational perspectives. Ogbo and Nwachuku (2012) argue that theoretical dimension covers many activities relating to uncertainties in a business while operational definitions relate to simpler or single activity. Regardless of the point at which an individual stands to define entrepreneurial practices, the bottom line is the concept that is concerned with taking great risks to bring changes in business by organizing, planning, and initiating processes that yield desired outcomes. In most cases, entrepreneurship is evident to dominate in small scale enterprises even though they constitute a large percentage of economic drivers. Despite the little capital that is pumped to run these enterprises, revenue generation is increasingly becoming significant in many economies. The role of Entrepreneurship in Economic Growth It is important to analyze the role played by entrepreneurs in the growth of economy in many countries. They are often referred to as ‘engines of economic growth’ because they propel economies (Ogbo & Nwachuku...

...The critical issue is about the discovery of Huntington disease genes in David Reiger, a 42 years old veteran pilot with Danville Airlines in Milwaukee, but which has not developed into a disease. Reiger is furious that the company tested him genetically, without his consent. The airline is concerned that if he becomes symptomatic, he could become physically and mentally handicapped thereby exposing their clients and their business to great danger (Mead & Wicks, 2004) The text identifies a couple of issues. First, Reiger was not informed of the genetic tests he underwent, given that he submitted to a routine annual drug and alcohol examination. Second, the release of Reiger’s genetic results (not related to the examination reasons) obtained during routine medical screening to his employer without prior notification and consent was unethical. Equally, the possibility of discrimination against Reiger based upon health reasons/medical history is high. Also, clients/public could be exposed to risks, which could occur if results of Reiger’s medical screenings are not holistically considered. Consequentialism, universalism, rights, justice and fairness are relevant ethical models that apply to the case in hand (Mead & Wicks, 2004 Overall, the key fact in the text, according to Mead & Wicks, 2004, is the discovery of a potential genetic disorder (Huntington’s disease) in David Reiger, a seasoned pilot with Danville Airlines in Milwaukee ensuing from a routine blood test for alcohol...

...Research Paper No. 2008/20 Entrepreneurship in Economic Development Wim Naudé * March 2008 Abstract What is the role of entrepreneurship in economic development? At a minimum the answer should be able to explain the role of entrepreneurs in the structural transformation of countries from low income, primary-sector based societies into high-income service and technology based societies. More broadly though, it should also be able to explain the role of entrepreneurs in the opposite pole of stagnating development (including conflict) and in high innovation-driven growth. Although economic development lacks a ‘general theory’ of entrepreneurship, which could encompass a variety of development experiences, much progress has been made in extending the understanding of entrepreneurship in the process of development. This paper surveys the progress with the purpose of distilling the outlines for a more general theory of entrepreneurship in economic development. Entrepreneurship in developing countries remains a relatively under-researched phenomenon, so by surveying the current state of research, and by discussing the role of entrepreneurship in dual economy models of structural transformation and growth, a secondary objective of this paper is to identify avenues for further research. Finally, the policy implications from the economic literature suggest that a case for government support exists, and that this should focus on the quantity, the quality, and the allocation of entrepreneurial...
