We will be exploring how to balance energy flow in our bodies with the assistance of Essential Oils. How can we embolden our root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, first eye, and crown charkas in a way that would allow us to experience ease within our current situations and elevate the quality of our life altogether? We know that chakras are energy centers that are spinning like a wheel. They move energy around as they spin and bring life force into every part of us. We have many chakras, each cell and every molecule is a chakra and each atom and every particle is a chakra. When chakras move in a synchronized manner with each other, energy flows freely and we experience a sense of centeredness and confidence. However, when some chakras …show more content…
I remember my mom often talking to her orchids, putting fresh aloe vera gel on the tips of my hair, and my sister Maria rubbing coconut oil on my scalp while we watched television. It was not until after Maria transitioned into the non-physical that I deepened my study of Essential Oils. At the peak of her brief and brutal love affair with cancer, right after the doctors said her body could no longer take chemotherapy and before hospice care, my family was just desperate to give Maria any kind of relief so we purchased all sorts of Essential Oils (and crystals) from the health food stores in her neighborhood. I knew very little about the oils then so I simply bought anything associated with the liver and pancreas, and everything that had yellow packaging to connect with her solar plexus chakra. My mom would anoint Maria’s head with oils, my brothers would take turns massaging her hands and feet, and I would draw hearts around her body using the Lemon and Helichrysum roll-on Essential Oil stick. For a little while, that was enough to bring her temporary relief and we were extremely grateful. She would inhale the aroma and it would encourage her to breathe in a little deeper because she loved the scent so much. She would inhale the aroma and ask me about what was inside the bottle and how to pronounce “Helichrysum.” She would inhale the aroma and it would distract her from the pain and all the tubes sticking out of her body. She would inhale the aroma and smile, say thank you, and request for more hearts. These moments when she would be present were priceless to and we would just stitch those moments along for however long or short they lasted. The grief I felt after Maria crossed over was unbearable and it was also the Essential Oils that helped pull me through it. When the experience with the illness and the physical loss was better integrated into my life, I immersed myself in learning more about Essential Oils.

Sensory Stimulation in Dementia

...The article “Sensory Stimulation in Dementia” discusses an alternative to handling behavioral problems in senior citizen who suffer from dementia. More often than not, older individuals with dementia will experience symptoms often attributed to psychiatric patients. These include anxiety, hostility, wandering, depression, delusions, disrupted sleep, and hallucinations. The most common form of treatment for such symptoms is either institutional care or behavioral treatment. In addition to either of these approaches, however, patients often receive drugs such as antipsychotics or other sedatives in order to alleviate the effects of the dementia. The problem here is that these neuroleptics and similar drugs almost always come with their own respective side effects, including a general decrease in quality of life. One main concern here is that patients who are receiving such drugs to control their symptoms are often the patients who are already experiencing low qualities of life as is because their dementia symptoms are generally so severe. Other recent attempts at treatment include snoezelen, which is another name for controlled multisensory stimulation, where patients are exposed to a soothing and stimulating environment. In this environment, they will receive varied sensory stimulation in the forms of fiber optic lighting effects, color, sounds, music, or smells. The light treatment and aromatherapy have emerged as the two most promising approaches among these in the treatment...

The sodium citrate stays in solution and you don’t really notice it, but the carbon dioxide bubbles out as a gas that helps the bath bomb break up. How it works it’s When a bath bomb comes in contact with water, the baking soda and citric acid react to make carbon dioxide bubbles.
