Hello everyone, I would just like to thank you all for being here to listen about why I believe the discovery channel should make a film about the Eureka Stockade. Movies these days are not like they used to be and I believe that movies should give a message across and teach you something. For example the Eureka Stockade, this event showed that with teamwork results can come about, that without this occurrence democracy would be much different and also fairness and equality wouldn’t be the same.
The Eureka Stockade occurred in 1854 in Ballarat, Victoria. It was caused by a disagreement over what the miners felt were unfair fees from the government. The miners had to pay license fees even if they didn’t find gold which resulted to unsuccessful
