1. Evaluate the viability of loyalty programs in the cruising industry.
Believe it or not people like the idea of feeling important and nothing seems more important than getting perks. So why belabor the point by putting up barriers to the customer and
I like the Idea of loyalty rewards I hate the idea of carrying an extra card or coupon to be redeemed but I don’t want a coupon and I don’t want to have to redeem anything at some website.
Whenever you ask the consumer to complete an additional action beyond the transaction in order to gain credit in a loyalty program, you're placing distance between the positive emotion elicited by the reward and the action of purchasing an item or experience. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/seth-priebatsch/customer-loyalty-programs_b_859462.html

I like this Idea for Carnival because it could be very transactional and very lucrative...Let’s say a customer enjoyed a spa service, a few hours in the casino and a rock climbing session
So why not use these customers experience as personal guides to what will attract these individual back to the Carnival cruise experience. So instead of offering a membership let them know when they Cruse with Carnival they are lifetime voyagers.
If they enjoyed the spa offer them an upgrade them or comp them on their next Voyage treatment, Or matching funds at the casino even a free go on the Rock wall. Really if the idea here is to draw repeat customers why hide it. Just add the complimentary stuff to their fun pass when they book so the perk is available to them when they arrive.
While loyalty programs are good at motivating individual customers, they're equally useful for building tight-knit communities within your customer base. By rewarding customers for spreading the word about your business, you're tapping into the power of word-of-mouth marketing.

Those tickets into suborbital space are not cheap, and most of us will not be able to afford the trip for a while. What is the Virgin Galactic Cost? A 2008 book about space tourism stated that, "The cost of suborbital flight advertised by private space companies such as Virgin Galactic and Starchaser Industries is in the order of U.S. $200,000." [Source: Erik Seedhouse, page 27]. Virgin Galactic's webpage confirms that $200,000 is still the cost of a ticket of admission, and that at least 100 people have already paid that fare in full.
