Expository Essay for Antigone / Social Justice Writing Assignment The current issue of social justice in the US now is racism. I think that this is the number one issue that we African Americans are dealing with right now. I honestly do not think that America has ever been great. We have to vote in a couple of months of who should be our next president of the United States. Will it be Donald Trump or Hilary Clinton? I really do not like either of them, but if I had to choose between one, it will surely be Hilary Clinton. This is because I feel like Donald Trump is not taking this presidential seriously and he seems very rude to others in general. I would not want a president like him at all. …show more content…
We always have something happening everyday on the news, especially when it revolves around blacks. We are everywhere on television, the internet, on the radio. The question we are all asking ourselves is “Why?” Why are we everywhere and not other people who are a different skin color than us? Are we more important than them or are they more important than us? We will never know the answer until an American will finally speak up for African Americans and have our backs 100%. African Americans are doing everything in this world to stop racism and hatred towards them. They are marching up and down the streets holding signs and posters. All these signs and posters are saying, “Black Lives Matter!” and they do matter. We are doing all we can do to finally fit into this cruel world. Making a difference in this world is very hard because not everyone will agree to what you are saying. The only problem is that we do not care if they agree or not, we just want them to support us no matter what. I feel like the only way for African Americans to prove people wrong is through education. Many people do not think that African Americans are smart, but that is their problem because we were put into this Earth with them. We deserve to have an education and jobs to support our future selves and
