Satan Satan is an evil being who is often represented as an ugly, red demon with a tail and horns. In reality, although he is a demon, he is beautiful. He was originally from heaven and his activity and demonic army are constantly on the verge of causing chaos. Satan was originally created as an angel with a magnificent appearance. At one point in time, he was one of God’s favorites. Ezekiel 28:12-15 talks about Satan being perfect until God found him immoral. Though Ezekiel is addressing these words to the King of Tyre, they are ultimately directed towards Satan. He is the creator of pride and cruelty. It is unlikely that the inspired prophet would include a myth into his message of judgement. It is not uncommon to see double references in the Bible, such as Ezekiel calling attention to Satan, the motivator of sin to the earthly monarch. Ezekiel announced that originally, Satan was wise and beautiful. He depicts Satan in Eden, describing him being lavished in jewels. The King James Version of the Bible tells of the tambourines and flutes that were prepared for him on the day of his creation (DeHaan 12). Considering this, some believe he has great musical ability, being given the authority over the heavenly choir. Ezekiel 28:14 states that he is declared to be “the anointed cherub who covers”. Their intensions are to divide and corrupt the church, using Christians who deny Biblical truths. Therefore, Christians should always be on guard. Satan also attempts to keep men from believing and putting their faith in Christ. Though the Bible has changed millions of lives, many still reject it (DeHaan 17). This is some of the work of Satan. He is far more powerful than any human being and anyone who tries to defeat him will surely fail (DeHaan 18). Though, if Christians live in submission to the Lord, they can resist the attempts of Satan. Satan’s attempt to defeat God will be unsuccessful. Revelation 19:20 states that the beast, meaning Satan, will be captured, along with the false prophet, and they both will be cast alive into the Lake of Fire. Satan will then be cast into a bottomless pit for 1,000 years. God will defeat him and all of his followers and cast them into the Lake of Fire forever (DeHaan
