After reading Don Marquis’s Future Like Ours (FLO) argument I would say that his argument is convincing. It is convincing because a fetus is considered a person. Being that a fetus is considered a person that means the fetus has a right to life and a FLO. Marquis is not looking at abortion as something that is wrong because I it is murder; he is looking at abortion as something that is wrong because it is the loss of the future goods of consciousness. The fetus will not get the opportunity to live and create memories. I look at it as if my mother aborted me, life would most likely not be the same. Marquis’ FLO argument is not a potentiality argument in disguise because of the loss of future goods of consciousness. People value the experiences
