Factors Affecting Marketing Strategy
While at a local women’s retail store, came across an interesting leather necklace that caught my attention. As I moved closer to view the item, I was sure the accessory belonged to one of the popular designers and was quite expensive. Once I reached the shelf were the item was display; I saw the designer name “Heaven’s Creations”; an unknown product designer. The necklace was quite a show stopper, extraordinary looking and not to mention affordable. The off-brand’ designer’s line is unique because the pieces are all “one of a kind”--no replicas However, I was informed that the designer does design commission jewelry. I most say that if all future accessory ornaments of the unknown designer’s are as exquisite and show stopping as this leather necklace, the designer will not be off-brand for long.
Jewelry, Apparel and Accessories products fall into the category of high involvement/emotions. These are products for which the buyer is prepared to spend considerable time and effort in searching. When marketing this jewelry line, I am going mimic existing campaigns as jewelry is a billion-dollar industry employing millions of people around the world, and costume jewelry has a large piece of this pie. Ever since the economy became more global, consumers have been affected by this fast evolving industry.
Towards the late 1980’s, several large retailers dominated the fashion accessory business. In the fast evolving fashion industry even the best plans and activities can be diluted by economic change, consumer behavior and the actions of competitors.

...relationship between family socio-economic status (SES) and the academic performance of children is well established in sociological research.2 While there is disagreement over how best to measure SES, most studies indicate that children from low SES families do not perform as well as they potentially could at school compared to children from high SES families (Graetz, 1995). Most studies, however, compare students from across all SES backgrounds to reach the conclusion that low SES adversely affects a range of educational outcomes. Another important dimension, however, is the factors that may influence educational outcomes within particular SES bands. This paper presents data on the educational performance of children from financially disadvantaged backgrounds and examines its variation as affected by traditional measures of SES as well as by a range of other family, individual and contextual factors. External Factors Affecting Gnc

...Part A Perceiving through different factors and variables that could have an impact on an organization’s marketing capability, GNC would need to cursorily examine it’s marketing environment. (Evans, M 1988) highlights the rules and regulations, effects of governments, changes in technology and the implications of societal changes as the basis of marketing environment, which ultimately influence impinging on marketing. These forces fall within the macro environment of PESTL frame. As the name indicates, macro environmental factors are the forces prevailing in the external environment of the organisation. Macro environmental variables include political, economical, socio-cultural, technological, and legal forces, having bearing on the industry and business players (Popkin, B.M Duffey, K & Gordon Larsen, P 2005) Business firms and industries have no control over such factors and thus are bound to adapt and act in accordance with macro environmental forces in order to exist and sustain in the marketplace. Thus, these variables would be considered as a ramification to such a supplementary industry, which in this case is “GNC”. Factors Affecting Marketing Strategy

...Advertisements are always aimed at communicating and persuading potential buyers or consumers of a certain product. According to Egendorf (2006), most likely, the marketing strategy that an advertisement uses influences the consumer behavior towards a certain product. This essay will explore a print media advertisement and explore the assumptions that its authors seem to make about the consumers being targeted. The essay will therefore explore the consumer groups excluded while seeking its failure to appeal in the said groups. Finally, an analysis of the advertisement and its cultural relevance will be evaluated. The advertisement under analysis is by the firm Dallas Farmer market that seeks to advertise its fresh farm vegetable goods. The advertisement portrays fresh vegetables from the farm in a well stacked basket. Apart from the pictorial advertisement, a message is displayed on the cover of the basket reading “fresh and tasty”.
