Leadership vs. Management
“Importance of Effective Leaders”

With this project we plan to focus on two main points: 1. Leadership styles, specifically transformational style 2. Alignment between leadership and management – “lean on each other”

Goals and Objectives:
1. Identify the relationship between leadership and management via the similarities and differences 2. Show the importance of transformational leadership 3. Display the importance of alignment between leadership and management
4. Give “real life” examples to better relate our given information to the class on the impact of effective leadership

By working on and presenting this project we hope to gain a more concrete understanding of the importance of effective leadership. We hope to be able to better relate the importance of being aligned with not only your leadership styles but also your managerial styles. We feel that giving “real life” examples will help us to not only expand our knowledge but also help us process the “textbook” information into reality. We feel that by doing this project we will be able to better ourselves for our future careers in the business world (or any field). By gaining all of the above knowledge we plan to present it to the class in a way that they too will understand the importance of this topic.
