Federal- The absolute highest level of security. This is where the most dangerous people go. Some crimes that would land you in here would be terrorism, robbing a bank, fleeing from a crime and going across state lines, etc. The Eighth Amendment protects the prisoners from cruel and unusual punishment. The conditions in the United States prisons are inhumane. They don’t give the prisoners good food and do not give them the proper mental and physical help. The United States is ranked fifth for the number amount of executions in the world.• The South does 80% of the United States executions• Innocent people have been killed on death row Over crowding occurs because there are not enough room in prions, random spikes in crime, and changes to laws.• Overcrowding is dangerous because it makes it easier for things such as drugs, weapons and anything illegal to be easily passed from one person to another.
