Title: John Tucker Must Die 2006 1. If you were Kate and you had Katie’s Mom, how would you feel about your family’s lifestyle?

Well If I were in her situation, I would accept the fact that she is the only family I have. And I would not take advantage of the fact that she couldn’t focus her full attention to me. I will not let our situation ruin our life or my relationship with my mom because she’s the only ally I have.

I would also do the same thing that Katie did to her mom when she scolded her about her dating issues. I think it’s my responsibility to protect my Mom and I have the right to know who she was dating. But I still have my limits and I have to give her respect and privacy.

2. If you were to be John Tucker’s date, would you react the same thing like the three other girls? Why?

Honestly speaking, If I were in that kind of situation, I really wouldn’t mind. I will take our date as a pleasure of meeting him and asking me out. I’m not the kind of girl who’d be so kind of obsessed in a guy in our first meeting. Most especially if I know that guy is kind of so popular in school. I’ll be just glad that I was once his date. It’s always important to take precautions before you go out on a date.

You really have to know who the person is so that you’ll have a little background and that you’ll know how to treat him. But if the case is like this one, I’ll be slightly devastated at first ‘cause John Tucker is so cute and soooo hot but I have to get over it ‘cause he’s such a player and I don’t want to be a loser like those three other girls who took so much effort of having a revenge on him.

3. Describe the following characters’ personality.

a. John Tucker

We must admit that John Tucker is so freaking hot. He’s so good at playing basketball but he’s also a player; Playing girls actually. It’s so sad to know about that. And another sad thing also is that he is so proud of it. Because that’s what make him famous at school! He is being looked up by the other boys in school because they think he is cool enough. Yes it’s a good thing to be looked up to by other people, to be a model to them, to be able to inspire. But it is so wrong to look up to him for being a player and a cheater in relationships. You wouldn’t want a boyfriend like that. Karma is just around the corner, Tucker.

b. Beth

Beth’s strong character in the story is kind of rated PG. She’s brunette and so pretty. The activist slut, I shall say. She’s kind of used to dating so many guys in school .In the story, she is just a high school student but she already had many experiences when it comes to dating and sex. According her, she’s so very good at it. She’s so experienced. She’s a beautiful girl but he’s not that kind of respectable. She’s kind and sexy but not as smart as the other girls in the story. She’s also the type of girl who would not let her heart be left broken just like that. I can see that she’s so liberated and one of John Tucker’s toys.

c. Carrie

Carrie is the intelligent one among the three. She was well participated in the school activities. She’s also the head of the school paper I guess. Well maybe not as experienced as Beth, but she also have the guts. She also has a strong personality. But unfortunately she also fell for John. So just like the other girls, she was also devastated and didn’t know what equation would fix her broken heart. She was actually the leader of the group because she always says that she’s the smartest one. Well if she’s smart enough, why did she fell in John’s trap? Maybe even the smartest one can even be dumb sometimes when it comes to love.

D. Heather

Heather is the Head of the Cheer leader. Her skin is black but she outstands among others. She’s also pretty but not as smart as Carrie is. So she easily fell for John Tucker also. She’s vain and over-confident. She thinks she’s that pretty enough because she is dating John Tucker. Not knowing at first that she is not the only one who’s dating who. Although she’s pretty, she is still uncontended on herself. She still takes drugs and medicines to boost hormones or whatsoever. She also has a strong personality like the other girls.

E. Kate

Kate is a kind of mysterious girl at first. She was always outnumbered. She always prefers to be alone at times. She doesn’t have any friend way back when she was still young because she chooses not to have. She’s close-minded. But when the time she got involved in the John Tucker issue, she was finally out of her cage. She was able to express what she always has in mind. Let’s say that she also fell for John. But the way John fell for him was wrong because it’s not the real Kate. She pretended to be someone who is so dateable so she would attract John and made him fell in love with her. And so she did. But in the end, she cannot accept the fact that she did that to John because he found out soon that John also knows how handle a girl with respect. She just learned that John treats a girl depending if she is respectable like Kate.

F. Scott

Scott is the other Tucker. He is so far different to his brother. Scott knows how to respect a girl. She is witty and in his simple ways, he can make Kate laugh and bring out the best in her. Scott is an example of a very good guy friend. He knows his limits and he knows how to treat a girl unlike his brother. I adore her more than John. He doesn’t take the advantage that he is a brother of the Captain of the basketball team in their school. He lives his life simply with his friends. He get along with the people he knows him. He’s into the Chemistry subject which is we know that is so unusual to boys to have their full attention to. We can see that studies is more important to him more than fame.

4. If you were Kate, would you do the same thing as she did with John Tucker? Why? If I were Kate, I wouldn’t do that. Kate was under peer pressure that is why he did that to John. If I were her, I wouldn’t take the risk of doing that to other people because I don’t really have the rights to do such things like these. It’s so immoral. I think I am educated enough to handle situations like this. If a guy did this to me, I’ll just ask him why he keeps on doing it and wait for a sincere sorry and tell me that he wouldn’t do it again. I’ll just let God punish him, not me. 5. How would you conclude the movie? What did you feel the entire movie? Well it’s a typical teen flick for me. But what interests me the most is the different kinds of personality found in the movie. High school in the US is far different from our country. These kids are so liberated. It is indeed a different culture from us here in the Philippines. Not comparing but I still prefer to have my education here in the Philippines. I felt happy about the entire movie because sometimes I relate myself to the personality shown in the movie. Sometimes I see myself giggling because I can relate to the characters. And of course the scenes, because I also experienced dating. Fortunately none of them is like John Tucker.

House of Lords More Effective?

...Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx c v c ccccc cdd c fcdf fddf fd ffd When the House of Lords is discussed, the discussion is almost inevitably in connection with its reform, which is seen as incomplete following the removal of most hereditary peers from the chamber in 1999. But the House of Lords is perpetually seen as “unreformed", with proposals for change having been made for over a century. This means the opportunity has often been missed to study the chamber as it is, and its impact on the policy process. Given that the next stage of reform may, like previous ones, be long delayed, such study is important. This project therefore focuses on the contemporary House, and particularly on how it has changed since the 1999 reform. Publications in the first phase of the project (2004-2007) asked questions about the strength and confidence of the House of Lords, perceptions of its "legitimacy", and the real policy impact of government defeats. Research methods included study of parliamentary records, questionnaire surveys and interviews with peers, and public opinion surveys. A complete record of all members and all "divisions" (votes) in the chamber since November 1999 has been compiled in database form. The second phase of the project (2008-2011) continued the collection of some of this data, and generated new publications. These included broader...

The Copenhagen County Court has 49 judges and a President, whilst Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg and Roskilde county courts have a President and 15, 10, 10 and 7 other judges, respectively. 29 jurisdictions have two to four judges, whilst the last 50 jurisdictions have only one judge. At the preparatory and trial stages of civil cases only one judge presides. In criminal cases where the defendant pleads guilty to all charges presented against him or her, or when the prosecution does not ask for a sentence in excess of a fine, the case is also presided by a single judge. In criminal cases where this is not the case, the judge sits with two lay judges. Special rules regarding appointment of lay judges apply to maritime cases. In cases where lay judges sit with the judge, decisions are adopted by simple majority. In addition to their normal duties, county court judges act as notary public and bailiffs (in particular, the fogedret sees to the enforcement of judgments and legal claims), as well as administrators of bankruptcy proceedings and probate matters. Furthermore they administer the local land registry. In regard to the administrative tasks, these functions may be assigned to an assessor, which is a deputy judge. An electronic reform of the land registry system is being implemented, making the system...
