The Importance of Having a Laptop or Desktop Computer
Now in days in today’s society everyone needs a computer, from teenagers to adults. They may need it for school, work, communication, or just for fun, but some people like to have laptops which they can take with them basically anywhere and others a regular desktop which they can just leave in one place of course. It also depends on how much money they would like to spend and the accessibility of getting to your computer. Also, from desktops to laptops they have their differences and their similarities, but it depends on the buyer that which one is more suitable for them.
Anyone can say that laptops and desktop computers are the same, but there are differences that can be more useful for people in their own ways. Technology has really expanded throughout this time, and people need a laptop or desktop for work related, to do homework, or even to communicate. But, there are differences about a laptop or desktop that people use for their advantage. There are different components on a desktop and laptop that people like; for example a laptop has a rechargeable battery and you can take it where ever you want. A desktop, on the other hand has many different sizes of monitors that you can choose, whether if you want a bigger screen or smaller. Also a desktop tends to last longer than a laptop before it needs to be repaired or replaced.
A laptop can be really useful for a lot of people especially if they like to travel, or if they are an international student, a laptop will be much easier to transport from home to school and back again, also laptops take up less space than a desktop and you can put it away when not in use. Another advantage of a laptop is that where you may want to go, whether if it’s a Starbucks, or anywhere else that has Wi-Fi you can use the internet. A desktop, on the other hand can only be left at home, school, or at your job, but just as a laptop has its advantages it can have its disadvantages.
Before anyone would like to buy something they may want look at the price, if it is suitable for them, and if it’s going to last them a pretty long time. Laptops are more expensive than most desktops, but a laptop is good because it’s smaller and portable. Having a laptop also has its risks of it being damaged or getting stolen. I am not saying a desktop is stronger, it can also break, but it’s rare because a desktop is left on a desk. Desktops, on the other hand have more upgrade options, and if cleaning or repairing, a desktop can be easily opened for it to clean if it’s dirty or remove a broken part and install a new one. Laptops on the other hand, it takes time and money if you don’t know how to repair it since it’s smaller and many parts are specific to that certain model.
As you can see there are many differences between a laptop and a desktop, but they both are really important to in today’s society with all the technology that we have, from our ways of communicating and making our work and lives easier. Both a laptop and a desktop work the same but, it all depends on what we want, if we want something that we can take with us where ever we go or if we want something more durable and that is will last quite a time. I am not saying that a laptop is better than a desktop, they are both useful and they can do the same tasks you want to do with either or, but it is up to the buyer on what they may use it for and most important what will be more suitable for them.

This was my last classes’ final draft, I didn’t use the correct APA formatting when I was doing my final draft. I also got some of the information from websites when I was doing the research, so I have paraphrase my information correctly. Also I have to do a reference list at the bottom of my essay to list where I got my information and so I won’t be marked down points or worst for plagiarizing .

...One of the most important issue in the last 10 years to face the United States is the impending movement to revamp education. It’s not big secret that this system in place is no longer effective, with test scores nearly the bottom in comparison to fellow industrialize nations. One suggestion has been to take what works from Japan’s system, which scores routine test at or near the top of global results. It’s a great idea on paper, but with cultural differences and ideals might make a transition hard and could be met with resistance. However, taking the best elements from Japan’s system and combining those with our own might be the best solution available. A glance at the numbers make a compelling argument why adopting the Japanese way of approaching education. In a study done by the UCLA in 2008, it was revealed that of the high school students who graduate, an average of 2.4 million a year, 25% cannot read or write at the eighth-grade level. The standards being taught, which change on a year by year basis has made the system useless which allows students to be pushed through without learning the necessary skills need to advance to the next grade? Bush administration’s No Child Left Behind act is even more of an issue, and is the main reason why these numbers are now a sad reality. Even more disturbing the high number of high school dropouts, which stands at a rate of 33 percent each year. What makes this number more alarming is that without any type of program...

...EN1320 Research Paper Final Draft Gun Control In America Today In the United States there is a need for better gun control legislature, but some Activists are beginning to intrude on United States citizen’s second amendment rights. John Paul Stevens a former member of the U.S. Supreme Court believes we should change the second amendment. Then people who feel that all guns should only be in the hands of law enforcement and military personnel. Some feel that there is only a need for simple back ground checks and a wait time until the person can be properly cleared to own a firearm. A new form of gun control are a new gun manufactures that believe the future of the industry and gun safety is in smart weapons which can only be fired by the registered owner. This is a issue that has been debated on for many years for one reason or another while the gun control law has made few changes its a issue that needs attention and change. I feel the current laws do need changing but do not need to be pushed so far that the rights of the citizens should take a back seat to the Gun Control issue. Former U.S. Supreme Court member John Paul Stevens feels that the only way to have gun control is to change the second amendment. His feelings are that most pro gun Activists misunderstands the second amendment. The second amendment states “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of......

...to fit study time into your lunch break at work or in between classes. Having a set time to study is helpful. Otherwise, your family and or sleep will take a back burner. There are several techniques to help you manage your time such as; using the time monitor/time plan process. This process works by keeping track of where you are throughout the week. Doing so will help you know how much time you have left for other activities such as family, fun, and studying. This plan works so well because everyone only has 168 hours each week. By accounting for your time you will run into fewer conflicts. Time management is crucial if you are going to find time for all your activities and be successful doing so (Ellis, 2010). Accountability The final step to being a successful college student is to be accountable. Being accountable means being willing to accept responsibility for your own actions. Before you accept responsibility for a task, you must first understand what that task is. Once you know what your task is then you need to know how to complete your task. You should plan out the steps necessary to complete your task. For instance, the task I am trying to complete is getting my bachelor's degree. That means it is my responsibility to study, turn in my work on time and participate in class. If I fail to do any one of these steps, the fault is mine, and I am the one who suffers the consequences. It is important not to blame outside forces for your actions. Taking......

...Tania Moshirian A10023469 USP 100 September 3rd, 2014 Website Final Draft The Collapse Detroit, Michigan: a city where more than 1.1 million people have vanished in the past 60 years. The city has dropped 25% in population just in the last 10 years. The city crumbled apart, which forced people to abandon their houses and businesses, leaving them with nothing. Even hospitals and religious structures were abandoned--and are still abandoned--with no demand to fill them. Ultimately, the auto industry was hit the hardest. With a systematic city, there was nowhere for the people to find jobs, since the auto industry was also hurting. More than 200,000 people worked in the auto industry in the mid-20th century.             Since the slow migration out of Detroit, the number fell to 100,000 people in the early 21st century. People have compared the migration out of Detroit to the whole city of San Francisco being deserted. More than 1.1 million people have left the city over the past decades. With economic downward spiral, Detroit hit its lowest point. With less than 750,000 people living in the city, it has been hard for local government to get money for the federal government for urban aid--leaving people still living in the city to suffer more. Detroit was named the poorest city in the nation, with one out of three people living below federal poverty.  (1) With so many people suffering, it led to many fires. Buildings and houses were burning rapidly. There were......

...Educational Funding in America Matthew R. Ferry English- University Writing Essentials/147 1/11/2015 Carrie Kendall Educational Funding in America Most people these days are aware of the demand for more educational funding, but some still may be unaware of the need. Educational funds lack because of lack of priority in understanding importance of early education, because of political disagreements/delays, and because of states’ prioritization of budgets. There are a few main reasons that education funds lack in the present day and age. First of all, there is not enough focus on the importance of funding early education. Many say that the start of a student’s education is the most important. Also, the decisions regarding education fall on each of the individual states, therefore, there are many political figures who are involved and this can lead to policies being delayed significantly due to the indecision of where funds should come from. Lastly, the ways in which states prioritize their budgets also needs more attention, case and point, the lottery. According the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, 35 states in the U.S. have their educational funding cost per student lower in the 2013-2014 school year, than they did in the year before the recession. Education in America is taking a hit right from the beginning. In some towns in the U.S., the budget is so tight that if extra funding was granted at the Pre-K level then this would......

...Assignment 6 Final Draft Following the horrific events of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, the United States has been unable to completely restore our trust in Middle Eastern nations and people for fear that they will plan another terrorist attack against us. In a post-9/11 world where Americans have become accustomed to associating Middle Easterners with terrorists, season 2 episode 1 of the television series 24 conveys this concept of otherness and the othering of Middle Easterners through its manipulation of time to show the dehumanization of Arabs as a threat to society and to stress the immediacy with which Americans must act against to such dangers. In this scene, 24 employs film analysis elements including windowing and time stamps to manipulate time in a way that emphasizes the immediacy of these actions and alters time as if it were real-time in order to show how Middle Easterners are often “othered” in a post-9/11 world. After the President of the United States has learned of the impending terrorist attack that is to occur in Los Angeles later that day, he says to a colleague that “there is a terrorist with his finger on a trigger, and [they’ve] got to get him.” While he is giving this statement, the episode employs a windowing effect in which the president is speaking in the top half of the screen and a Middle Eastern man, named Reza Naiyeer, is presented on the bottom half while he is driving in a convertible and speaking Arabic on the phone. The......
