Lindsay Ahlman- 2nd of 4 children, age 9, Caucasian, in 4th grade, lives with parents, diagnosed with ALS Leukemia 3 months ago,

Logan Ahlman- youngest of 4 children, age 4, Caucasian, in preschool, lives with parents,

Scott and Brenda Ahlman have been married 25 years, and have 4 children together. The family lives on a pig farm just outside of Medford, MN. Currently both Scott and Brenda are working and raising 4000 pigs with the help of Scott’s dad. All of their children are attending Medford Public School and are on a well-planned routine. On April 20 2001, their 2nd child Lindsay was diagnosed with ALS Leukemia. That night she was taken to Children’s Hospital to begin chemotherapy, creating a lot of emotional stress and change on the entire family. Lately Brenda and Lindsay are forced to spend most of their time at Children’s Hospital, due to the chemo and radiation causing Lindsay to be very sick most days. Creating a change in the entire families daily routines. Lanie and Logan often have to go to work with Scott; although Scott is there if something happens, Lanie is asked to watch her younger sister Logan
