...1 Michael James August 22, 2015 Philosophy 001 Final Exam Final Before taking philosophy, there was not any knowledge in my mind concerning the subject. After taking the subject and learning through the readings, it has broadened my mind to what philosophy actually means. Philosophy is the study of the nature of knowledge, reality and existence in part with academic discipline. Through the readings, there became an understanding through these philosophers writings on their view of different topics. 1. Taking on the question “What is Philosophy?”, there has been more of a realization than just the question itself. In the readings, Fieser, Russell, and Socrates were at ends with how they felt with their logic. They had a different way of viewing everything. Between philosophy and life upon finishing this course, I have come to learn more than I though I would have but also my view changed on certain parts. To reference philosophy, many philosophers have a way of questing whether God truly exist(ed) or was he a made-up immortal that humans gave life and now worship and in that it makes me questions the same thing. “Mortals suppose that gods are born and have clothes and voices and shapes like their own.”(Fieser 14) There is not much evidence to prove that God was a human being and that he was born in Jerusalem in the years between 6 B.C. and 4 B.C....

The regulatory environment is becoming more restrictive, viruses and worms are growing more pervasive and damaging, and ABC Heathcare’s stakeholders are demanding more flexible access to their systems. The healthcare industry is experiencing significant regulatory pressures that mandate prudent information security and systems management practices. Furthermore, the continued pressure to reduce cost requires that management focus on streamlining operations, reducing management overhead and minimizing human intervention. The regulatory focus at ABC Healthcare is on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). Both pieces of legislation highlight the need for good systems administration and controls, but focus on different aspects of the business....

...Final Music Essay Bradley Conway Tuesday - (6:30-9:15PM) As the weeks dwindled down, and the semester was all but over, I can tell you that there will be certain things that I can take with me once I move on to my next semester from out music cultures class. Unfortunately, it was only every Tuesday, so it wasn't like any other normal class where we would come three days a week. I guess that's a night class for you though! Our music class was fun, interesting, and off the charts sometime's, which is a good thing. What some teachers don't realize is that you have to put a little enthusiasm in your lecture's. I can say that there were a lot of laughs, learning, and we were able to experience different music of many cultures that we covered in our class. The one piece of music that sticks out to me was the "Ghost Dance" music, where people would go out into a field, and just record the music out there. Anything that has to do with speaking to the spirit is very interesting, and that's one thing that I will take from my class. I will learn to open up more, and appreciate all of the music in this world. Even if I don't like it, I will be glad to say that I have listened to "this specific genre" if I'm ever around anywhere that is curious about it....

Some of the specific opportunity costs that I have faced since starting my school career are less ‘free’ nights. I try to spread my schoolwork out evenly, so I don’t get too overwhelmed when it comes closer to my assignment due dates. There have been nights where I have had to choose school over going out with friends or watching a TV show. Personally, I don’t think that I’ve lost out on a whole lot. I was raised with a drive to get things done and my parents always placed a lot of emphasis on getting schoolwork done before anything else, so that came as second nature to me. I think that when faced with a situation when you need to weigh the...
