Possible Questions to be put forward in the introduction
1>Having independently measured satisfaction and the editorial content, we could answer the question: what are newspapers with higher satisfaction doing differently?
We studied each news theme, looking at which content practices increased satisfaction.
Although, on average, newspapers behave very consistently, some newspapers are measurably different in their approach.
2>By measuring consumer satisfaction for papers that are doing different things, we are able to identify what content practices relate to satisfaction.
As part of this analysis, we found that some types of content, politics and war, for example, tend to be grouped in readers’ minds.

To be included in the Literature Review
A research at Readership Institute of the Northwestern University on “Newspaper Content & What makes a reader more satisfied, conducted by using the most rigorous methods possible, the research looked at subgroups, including heavy readers, light readers, younger readers (younger than 23), women, men, etc.
A picture emerged of readers who understood what newspapers offered. Content mattered to the readers, and without prompting, readers could recognize the differences in coverage. Many findings confirmed what editors instinctively knew, that increasing the quantity of coverage, changing how the news was being written and promoting content more effectively is going to make a difference. Changing the content could increase satisfaction – and that satisfaction had the potential to translate into higher readership.
However the Research had a very broad spectrum and covered all types of news articles (front page,sports,politics,finance,editorial),in various different newspaper and further classified them based on the page and size they were printed on. Our research focuses on three business newspapers only.
