Need
The need I will be identifying, is the need to provide on campus accommodation for international students at Franklin University. This need is to provide students with accommodation which will be near the school and faster to get to lectures as some students leave in parts of Columbus that are far away from the university for reasons such as apartments being cheaper to afford paying for as compared to some apartments near the university.
Idea
My idea is that if Franklin University build or created boarding houses on campus for international students, this would be a good service because it would be easier and convenient for them in many ways. The students would not have to worry about transportation as the classes would just a walk away, the students would also even have a wider opportunity to meet other students from different backgrounds with different values and beliefs.
Concept Testing
I would test my concept by having a meeting with the international students at Franklin who are interested in my idea, then we would make a suggestion box and put in our idea of what we have suggested that the university should offer us and then after that we would make sure that our request reaches the president of the university through the right protocol.
Pricing
With pricing the university would have to include the accommodation fee to the tuition fee that we pay, meaning that the tuition fee would raise a bit because of the accommodation new offered.

The expansion presents two potential outcomes. Outcome one has a potential for profit, incremental growth, and additional market share for the company. Outcome two has a potential for financial loss, reputation or brand damage and reduced market share. We have analyzed our current assets, liabilities, revenues, operational expenses, and credit history in order to make realistic and informed decisions about the expansion. In addition, a clear understanding of the company’s current capabilities in regards to financing, marketing and production had to be ascertained in order to develop and recommend a course of action. The research and analysis that was conducted was showing a clear need for the new product line in the desired market and the financial portion of the analysis showed that the potential gains of venturing into the new product line outweigh the risk to the company’s finances and brand. The recommendation to proceed will be cautious but aggressive and in two phases. Phase one will involve small-scale implementation of all needed infrastructure for the new product...

...CHAPTER 5 SUMMARY, FINDINGS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND CONCLUSION 5.1 INTRODUCTION The previous chapter dealt with analysis and interpretation of data obtained by way of focus group interviews. In this chapter, a brief summary on the research project will be presented. The findings from both the literature review and the empirical investigation on co-operative governance in schools in Gauteng District 11 and schools in general, will also be presented. The recommendations that will serve as guidelines to assist school governors to maintain co-operation in schools in Gauteng District 11, will be made. 5.2 SUMMARY The purpose of this research project was to probe the essence of co-operative governance in schools in Gauteng District 11. The empirical investigation has been triggered by changes in school governance brought about by the Constitution (RSA, 1996a) and the South African Schools Act 84 (RSA, 1996b) and the need for school governing body members to understand their roles and functions in schools. Co-operative governance is vested in the school governing body. The principle underlying this approach is that education is a shared responsibility of the principal, parents, educators, non-educators, learners, the immediate school community and residents of the school catchment area. The empirical research was limited to the schools in Gauteng District 11. To collect qualitative data, focus group interviews with: three principals as ex-officio members...

Recommendations 3 What transferable skills should students develop during their time at university? 1. Introduction Transferable skills can be described as ‘skills developed in one situation which can be transferred to another situation’ e.g. problem-solving, decision-making, or communication skills. These skills are also known as ‘soft skills’, ‘key skills’ or ‘generic skills’ and are essential in all areas of life, not just in learning or work situations. In recent years Higher Education institutions have begun to identify particular transferable skills they wish their own graduates to develop during their time in third-level education. However, an essential part of identifying important skills for students to develop is to seek the opinions of students themselves. The focus of this HEA-funded project is on modern language students. Hence this survey was conducted with this student cohort only, rather than with a cross-section of the student body. Most surveys undertaken to ascertain students’ opinions on the important transferable skills for them to develop, have been surveys of diverse student populations. It is interesting to note that...

Instruction on Reading a Social Psychology Article

...practical advice on how to read them, should help you read journal articles more effectively. If this sounds tempting, read on. Journal articles offer a window into the inner workings of social psychology. They document how social psychologists formulate hypotheses, design empirical studies, analyze the observations they collect, and interpret their results. Journal articles also serve an invaluable archival function: They contain the full store of common and cumulative knowledge of social psychology. Having documentation of past research allows researchers to build on past findings and advance our understanding of social behavior, without pursuing avenues of investigation that have already been explored. Perhaps most importantly, a research study is never complete until its results have been shared with others, colleagues and students alike. Journal articles are a primary means of communicating research findings. As such, they can be genuinely exciting and interesting to read. That last claim may have caught you off guard. For beginning...
