Are you wondering what you can make from scrap fabrics you have saved or from an old sheet you are never going to use again? There are many fun and creative ideas you can do as a DIY project. One idea you may find interesting is a zippered pillow cover.

A zippered pillow cover is not hard to make and can even be something that might be perfect to use for a gift. All you need to do is determine which type of fabric to use for this project. You will also need to have all of the necessary supplies on hand too.

Attaching the zipper to the fabric for your zippered pillow cover requires a sewing machine. Using this machine may seem scary, but it is not that hard once you practice a bit. All you need to do is follow the steps that are outlined

Rogers Chocolates

...Rogers’ Chocolates Front-Burner Issues Rogers’ Chocolates has grown sales by more than 900 percent in the last two decades. While this growth is phenomenal and desirable, it is much like the physical growth of a teenager. In parts it is disproportionate and awkward, relying on time for the entire body to grow into itself and for coordination to catch-up such that the body can be used to its full capability. It is in this awkward stage that Rogers’ now finds itself. Therefore, it’s time that Rogers’ spend the requisite time and energy to marshal resources appropriately to address its awkward attributes. Rogers’ problems and their related solutions fall into the category of principal components of the strategy execution process as it relates to implementation. In order to build the desired competencies, capabilities, and internal resources needed for strategic success, Rogers’ must be willing to allocate the necessary financial support to engender the following changes. It will be expensive. But the goal of doubling or tripling the size of the company is by its very nature is an expensive endeavor. The question is whether the board and senior executives, namely Parkhill himself, are willing the sacrifice the financial resources in order to achieve such growth. It falls to Parkhill himself to sell this dynamic growth package, its related company changes to strategy, production and brand, and finally to garner support of the board, other senior executives, and the employee...

...Dumping The rich world tells the poor world to get rid of subsidies, but continues to spend $1 billion a day subsidizing its own farming enterprises. Rich countries dump subsidized produce on developing countries, driving down the price of local produce - with devastating effects on the local economy. This unbalanced playing field has made many poor farmers even poorer, or forced them off their land completely. Definition of 'Anti-Dumping Duty' A protectionist tariff that a domestic government imposes on foreign imports that it believes are priced below fair market value. In the United States, anti-dumping duties are imposed by the Department of Commerce and often exceed 100%. They come into play when a foreign company is selling an item significantly below the price at which it is being produced. The logic behind anti-dumping duties is to save domestic jobs, although critics argue that this leads to higher prices for domestic consumers and reduces the competitiveness of domestic companies producing similar goods. Investopedia explains 'Anti-Dumping Duty'  Some people believe that a foreign company will even lower the price of the product it is “dumping” below its own cost to manufacture the good in order to drive domestic competitors out of business and later raise prices. Even when a foreign company sells its exports at the same or a higher price than they sell for in the company's home country, the importing country can decide that the exporter is guilty of “dumping” and impose...

...Story Of Stuff, Referenced and Annotated Script By Annie Leonard Do you have one of these? I got a little obsessed with mine, in fact I got a little obsessed with all my stuff. Have you ever wondered where all the stuff we buy comes from and where it goes when we throw it out.? I couldn’t stop wondering about that. So I looked it up. And what the text books said is that our stuff simply moves along these stages: extraction to production to distribution to consumption to disposal. All together, it’s called the materials economy. Well, I looked into it a little bit more. In fact, I spent 10 years traveling the world tracking where our stuff comes from and where it goes.1 And you know what I found out? That is not the whole story. There’s a lot missing from this explanation. For one thing, this system looks like it’s fine. No problem. But the truth is it’s a system in crisis. And the reason it is in crisis is that it is a linear system and we live on a finite planet and you can not run a linear system on a finite planet indefinitely.2 Every step along the way, this system is interacting with the real world. In real life it’s not happening on a blank white page. It’s interacting with societies, cultures, economies, the environment. And all along the way, it’s bumping up against limits. Limits we don’t see here because the diagram is incomplete. So let’s go back through, let’s fill in some of the blanks and see what’s missing. Well, one of the most important things that is missing...

It is behind a sliding panel in the hallway upstairs. Our faction allows me to stand in front of it on the second day of every third month, the day my mother cuts my hair. I sit on the stool and my mother stands behind me with the scissors, trimming. The strands fall on the floor in a dull, blond ring. When she finishes, she pulls my hair away from my face and twists it into a knot. I note how calm she looks and...

...Generated by ABC Amber LIT Convertera http://www.processtext.com/abclit.html Killing Dance(v2.1) Anita Blake - Vampire Hunter Book 6 Laurell K. Hamilton, 1997 Anita Blake, vampire hunter, is now herself a hunted woman. Who put the $500,000 price on her head--a man or a monster? It's not just her own skin she needs to save; the rivalry between her werewolf boyfriend, Richard, and Marcus, the other alpha werewolf in his pack, has come to full boil. And there's always Jean-Claude, the vampire who's been waiting for just the right moment to slip inside Anita's head and heart. 1 The most beautiful corpse I'd ever seen was sitting behind my desk. Jean-Claude's white shirt gleamed in the light from the desk lamp. A froth of lace spilled down the front, peeking from inside his black velvet jacket. I stood behind him, my back to the wall, arms crossed over my stomach, which put my right hand comfortably close to the Browning Hi-Power in its shoulder holster. I wasn't about to draw on Jean-Claude. It was the other vampire I was worried about. The desk lamp was the only light in the room. The vampire had requested the overheads be turned out. His name was Sabin, and he stood against the far wall, huddling in the dark. He was covered head to foot in a black, hooded cape. He looked like something out of an old Vincent Price movie. I'd never seen a real vampire dress like that. The last member of our happy little group was Dominic Dumare. He sat in one of the client chairs. He was...

Eva Ibbotson - a Company of Swans

...A Company of Swans Chapter One There was no lovelier view in England, Harriet knew this. To her right, the soaring towers of King's College Chapel and the immaculate lawns sloping down to the river's edge; to her left, the blue and gold of the scillas and daffodils splashed in rich abundance between the trees of the Fellows' Gardens. Yet as she leaned over the stone parapet of the bridge on which she stood, her face was pensive and her feet— and this was unusual in the daughter of a professor of classics in the year 1912— were folded in the fifth position. She was a thin girl, brown-haired and brown-eyed, whose gravity and gentleness could not always conceal her questing spirit and eagerness for life. Sensibly dressed in a blue caped coat and tarn o'shanter bought to last, a leather music case propped against the wall beside her, she was a familiar figure to the passers-by: to ancient Dr. Ferguson, tottering across the willow-fringed bridge in inner pursuit of an errant Indo-Germanic verb; to a gardener trimming the edges of the grass, who raised his cap to her. Professor Morton's clever daughter; Miss Morton's biddable niece. To grow up in Cambridge was to be fortunate indeed. To be able to look at this marvelous city each day was a blessing of which one should never tire. Harriet, crumbling bread into the water for the world's most blase ducks, had told herself this again and again. But it is not cities which make the destinies of eighteen-year-old girls, it is people— and...
