Based on the readings, I can see a connection between Frederick Douglass and George Fitzhugh arguments about slavery but at different points of perspective reflected upon each writer’s personal experience. Both texts relates to the idea that slavery was a part of natural state of society and that it is a necessary component to increase the economic finance system. Through he first saw that slavery was a part of the community, Frederick Douglass’s emphasis on individuals’ rights have shown great contributions to the idea of freedom and explain the role of education as a major factor in understanding how one perceived the power of humanity in his writing.
