The State University of New York at Fredonia’s Visual Arts and New Media Program was not my first choice in a college curriculum. Therefore, I cannot say wholeheartedly this type of education was my first choice, as this was the last resort at a real affordable art education. In the summer of 2013, I realized my full capability as an artist I worked hard to get the education I truly deserved, even if that meant I would have to drop out after a good semester in the fall of 2013. After I received my Associates Degree in 2016, I realized I wanted to come back to Fredonia to prove the biggest point I can make, I belong here at this college. I hope to gather more skills in drawing that way I could illustrate movements and backgrounds without being afraid of failing. I also plan to study abroad this summer in Italy to take 3 credits for my minor in Art History. When I graduate I plan to become an independent animator and illustrator and never work for Pixar because their creative contracts stink. After a year of building my own studies, series and growing within the field I hope to attend graduate school at some point, although, I am unsure if I want to do and MFA in Animation or go into Game Design. In any event, I know when I graduate I plan to work part-time at a gallery in New York City and study post-modern art history where later I shall write a book on the full history of animation and offer it to Fredonia and SUNY Orange. Much further in my life I hope to start my own small gallery for animators, illustrators, and art historians and change post-modern history much like Alfred Stieglitz.
