Considerations for Kudler Fine Foods, Frequent Shopper Program

...Considerations for Kudler Fine Foods Frequent Shopper Program Kulder Fine Foods is considering the development of a system that tracks customer purchases through a Frequent Shopper Program that will reward points for the loyalty of Kulder’s customers, which can then be redeemed for gift items. In doing so, there are many legal, ethical, and security aspects for Kulder Fine Foods to consider in developing such a program for its loyal customers. Kulder Fine Foods will need to employ a secure E-commerce website that will allow customers to buy items online and track reward points through a member portal using a customer identification number. Customer identification numbers or member numbers can be acquired either online through the stores E-commerce website or at a physical Kulders store location. The Security aspect of the E-commerce system that Kulder will be using, will need to be secured by a system to protect the sensitive data, such as customer names, addresses, credit card numbers, and other important data. Implementing a secure transaction platform is also a very important requirement for any E-commerce program. This will provide customers with a secured portal for their purchases and will limit financial and legal risks to both the customer, and Kulder Fine Foods from compromised transactions. There should be different levels of access security for all of the IT components making up the server system that will be storing sensitive data on mainframes and the...

Recently, KFF has decided to start a frequent shopper program in order to increase revenue. Kudler is planning to track purchase behavior at the individual customer level and provide high value incentives through a partnership with a loyalty points program. By partnering with a loyalty points program company, customers will be able to redeem points for high end gifts, first-class airfare upgrades, and/or other specialty foods. Business Frequent Shopper Program

...Frequent Shopper Program Roy Gage BSA 310 November 7, 2013 Oswald Angst Kudler Fine Foods has been in business since 1998 and has since opened two more stores since. Since inception the store has been known for there fine foods and wine selection. They have been so successful that they are looking to open a frequent shopper program for each store. In the process of attempting the program, there may have been some questions that have not been answered as far as security concerns. Some of which I would like to discuss in this article. I would like to discuss security within the legal and ethical department. In the proposal on your website the program that you are attempting to create has some security holes and some things that you may not have thought of yet. From the first sentence on your website, you discuss tracking the customer purchasing behavior. This will have to be strategic on how you plan on tracking their customers. The laws are very strict on following the customer’s data and what they purchase. A consent form will have to be signed for the company to start monitoring what they are purchasing also. If the proper paperwork and research is not done before this shopper is implemented, the store could suffer huge fines and loss of customers. For a small upcoming grocery store a thousand dollar fine could be a huge hit in their bottom line and if this happens in all the grocery stores that Kudler foods owns. It could potentially put them out of business...

Frequent Shopper Program; Part 1

...Frequent Shopper Program | Part 1 | | Jason J. Kral BSA/385 December 9, 2013 Andrew Carpenter Development Methodologies A development methodology is the framework that a developer or team uses to structure, plan, and control the process of developing a system or application. There is a wide variety of methodologies to choose from, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Two of the more common and most used methodologies are the Waterfall method, and the agile method. This paper will focus on these two methods giving detailed descriptions, as well as advantages and disadvantages. Testing for each method will also be covered. The Waterfall Method The Waterfall Method of development is a linear-sequential life cycle model. This method is very simple to use and understand. In this model, each phase needs to be completed before the next phase can begin, phases cannot overlap, and once you finish a phase you cannot go back. A good example of this process is a literal waterfall flowing down the side of a mountain. "Once the water begins to flow over the mountain, it will hit each rock and continue down. The water can never go in the opposite direction." (Rouse, 2007) This is displayed in the following chart: The waterfall method allows for departmentalization and easy managerial control. "A schedule can be set with deadlines for each stage of development and a product can proceed through the development process like a car in a carwash, and...

In collecting the information, Kudler must fully disclose what information is collected and how it will be used by Kudler and possible third party vendors, so the customer's informed consent can be secured. This program will give Kudler Fine Foods the ability to track their customer’s purchases, and receive loyalty points that can be redeemed for high value items. Kudler Fine Foods number one priority is customer service. The Company has recently experienced significant growth and is now focused on expanding their services, efficiency, and increasing the consumer purchase power as a means of increasing the loyalty and profitability of its consumers.
