“Friendship” There is a great deal of valuable things to learn and experience in life, but friendship to me is one of the most important. To go your whole life without experiencing a true friendship, is not giving yourself the best gift that God is offering you. If you were to ask me what friendship is, I would tell you that friendship is the most wonderful relationship that anyone can have. A true friend is a person who offers all of their love and respect and will never leave or betray you. The definition of friends can be described as: “an intimate associate, reliable, one who is not an enemy or foe, an ally, etc” (Webster’s, pg. 540). But friendship is much more than that definition it is a way of life. Let me begin to explain a little further; Every friendship is different but every true friendship should at least have one common factor, Trust. Trust is an issue that every friendship must deal with at some point in time. If that trust is broken the relationship can be damaged forever. Trust is an unwritten rule between friends and is defined as the “firm belief or confidence in the honesty, integrity, reliability, justice, of another person.” (Webster’s, pg. 1436) My friends are loyal and very trustworthy they stick by me through the good times and bad times. My friends would never gossip behind my back, spilling intimate details of my life that I’ve shared with them in confidence. I’m confident that my friends would try to defend me and praise me under any circumstances. And that’s exactly why I trust my friends without any doubt in my mind and would give my life for their’s. Over the years, I have made several close friendships. The friendships that I have developed are relationships that I will never take for granted. I have the up most honor and respect for my friends. I have unconditional love for each of them. All my friends have a…...

...Friendship Everyone needs a friend, not only sometimes or now and then, always. It’s just a fact of a human’s life. Without friends you’re lonely and scared which also equals sadness. This might be a little harsh to say but without friends or family you’re practically nothing, which makes it even worse for yourself and your everyday life, because then you’re probably also boring and being boring is not a good reputation to have on your shoulders especially not when you are trying to pick up friends. I if you want to have good friends you also have to work for it, it’s not just some Christmas card from your aunt which you are receiving and taking it for granted afterwards. Having friends is not a cliché; you have to be there for them and the other way around of course. A Good Friend In every friendship circle there are the normal friends, the better friends, and of course the best friends. To make it work in your friendship circle you have to kind of split them up and find out who the best friend is and who the better friends are. The best friend is someone who you always can count on, he or she is always there for you no matter what, your best friend has to be the one which you can trust 100% and it’s very important to be sure that you can talk to your best friend about anything without being shy or embarrassed, if this is not the case, you might want to go look for a new best friend, or learn to deal with these kind of things in your relationship. Here’s an......

...Friends are very important in our lives. Friendships are easily formed when we are young and do not demand too much out of it. According to studies and research, humans tend to form highest number of friendships at kindergarten and primary level. However, one tends to have less friends as one grows older and wiser. This is because we realize there are good friends and bad ones. The saying that a friend in need is a friend indeed is very apt in this scenario because good friends are those who are reliable and trustworthy. at a younger age, our demands are not too high regarding friendships as we rely mostly on our parents, siblings and relatives for important things. The friends we formed at this age are merely considered playmates rather than companions and confidants. Thus, our expectations of them are not high. More serious friendships are formed when one enters puberty and achieves certain level of maturity. the latter allows one to forge fellowship with those who share the same interests, passion as well as similar moral and religious values. Thus, it is not surprising to observe that in some Asian country, mature students at the upper secondary level have friends of the same ethnic and religious backgrounds. At the university level, it is even more apparent. Even the Ministry of education has voiced concern over this phenomenon where polarization is prominent. The Indians, Chinese and Malays hardly mix with each other and are seen usually in the company of their......

...The Role of Friendships in My Life Friendship plays an important role in my life. In many peoples’ opinions, to live life without friendships is not a life worth living. In so many words, a life without friendships can be lonely and one can become depressed without it. My friends encourage me when I am sad, keep me sane in day to day life, entertain me when I am lonely, and they listen when I have problems. There are a variety of friendships in my life: acquaintances, fun friends and confidants. Though some might only consider those they truly trust friends, it is a little different for me. My acquaintances are the people who I work with, my neighbors, and the people I go to school with. This group of friends is a part of my day to day living, and helps keep me sane. Regardless if I am having a good day or a bad day, they are there to change the route of my mood. There are many things we do together, we have casual conversations about work, our families, shopping or just enjoy a simple lunch together. These basic conversations help me take my mind off the many stressful things that may burden my day. This type of friendship has helped me grow as a person and taught me how to manage my day to day social life. I keep my life very simple with my acquaintances, not too personal, but close enough to maintain an ongoing relationship with them. The fun friends in my life are my going out for the night group of friends. This is the group of friends I make dinner......

...Friendships Friendship Life is so short that we need someone to share our thoughts and feelings. Definitely, a thought would arise in our mind asking who it could be whom we can trust so closely. Answer might be who someone closes to you, but who? Parents, brother, sister…..! Apparently, it hardly comes to anyone’s mind a “true friend”. You are no nearer to true friendship than if you choose them for commercial reason. Besides who are you that you should be setting a price upon your friendship? It is enough for any man that he has the divine power of making friends, and he must leave it to that power of making friends. In this essay I will try to give my points of view toward friendship. Friends are essential in our life just as food is essential for living. Moreover, it is essential to determine their friendship as we analyze the contents of the food before we eat. Friends and their friendship play a great role in everyone’s life. It is a gift that we offer because we must; to give it as the reward of virtue would be to set a price upon it, and those who do that have no friendship to give. We would meet a lot of people in our life, from those we choose friends and among those, we make our best friend. What is best friend then; regardless we wouldn’t know how the friendship is going to be? From my point of view friends are those who help you in every step of life. Famous writer John Haren wrote a phrase in a book titled True Friendship, “When you are in delight......

Friendship

...Friendship Friendships are the gift to the man kind. The relations which we get in this world are blood related. But the only relationship which does not related to blood is friendship. Friendship has many forms and shapes. It is like water. If we pour the water into a jug it takes the shape of jug. if you pour the same water into a bowl it takes the shape of bowl. Same way friendships will take a different shapes and sizes according to our heart. Friendship gives pleasure to human beings. Where there is friendship then there will not be any sorrow. When you see a child laughing you will forget your sorrows for a second, same way when you are with a friend you forget your sorrows. Friendship, like the immortality of the soul, is too good to be believed. The lover, beholding his maiden, half knows that she is not verily that which he worships; and in the golden hour of friendship, we are surprised with shades of suspicion and unbelief. We doubt that we bestow on our hero the virtues in which he shines, and afterwards worship the form to which we have ascribed this divine inhabitation. In strictness, the soul does not respect men as it respects itself. In strict science all persons underlie the same condition of an infinite remoteness. Shall we fear to cool our love by mining for the metaphysical foundation of this Elysian temple? Shall I not be as real as the things I see? If I am, I shall not fear to know them for what they are. Their essence is not less beautiful than their...

Friendship

...I just hate it that today is one of those days when I don’t have nothing to do, so the only thing left in the table is read, and since I can’t do that the other only thing I can do is write. Today I felt like writing about friendship, the real friendship, so here goes nothing: I never ever got the true meaning of friendship, until I started losing it in some way. It isn’t that I lost it completely; it’s just that my friends and I have grown apart and that kind of sucks. But before that I always wondered what friendship really is and what it really means. And now being in a different school and not with the same friends and growing apart with my friends, I asked myself that question again and I think that maybe I have found the real answer. Being in a new place with new people, new faces it is hard to fit in. And this especially when the others know each other already. So you have to start everything from the beginning , you start to tell everyone your story, your favorite things and the reasons why you like them, but they still don’t get it, they still don’t get the reason why you are who you are, and they want to change you. And then is when you start to change, because you think you aren’t good enough and that maybe that is the reason why you don’t fit in. And you change everything from yourself, and by doing this changes you start to lose your real friends, you start to lose a little bit of yourself every day, you are not the same old you, the one with big strange......

...Friendships Addresses Basic Human Instincts 02/06/2012 Friendships Addresses Basic Human Instincts Friendships develop in many different ways in our lives. In Sunset Boulevard and Cinema Paradiso, friendships evolve through a love affair with the movies. In both these films, the main characters have a love affair with the movies. Norma Desmond surrounds herself with people who validate her belief in her ability to make it big once again in the newly popular talking pictures. Salvatore Cascio (Toto) befriends a projectionist who fulfills his need for his lost father, while nurturing his love for film. The friendships that develop in these two films show that movies or at least images from movies can impact our personality and personality development by addressing our basic human instincts to protect ourselves from loneliness, false hope, and the fear of ageing. Friends are an important part of our lives and without friendships our lives could become a very lonely place. In Sunset Boulevard, Norma’s favorite pet monkey has just passed away, which was Norma’s only friend at the time. Into the world of Norma Desmond, comes Joe Gillis. He was a young handsome, down on his luck screenwriter, who hasn’t had any work in months and is flat broke. Desperate he accepts Norma’s offer to write an atrocious script she has been nursing for years as her starring comeback vehicle. Joe knows the script is a joke, but he takes on the project anyway. Besides working on Norma’s script, he...
