Genetically Modified Organisms, or GMOs have been the topic of much controversy since the 1990s. The sale of GMOs was focused on cash crops such as soybeans, corn, canola, and cotton. Today, soy is the most heavily genetically modified crop in the United States. Other GM crops such as corn, squash, and alfalfa are very common and make up most of our food today. I believe that GMOs are not only harmless, but great for our health.

No GMOs have research to prove they are harmful. Some people believe that a spike in allergies is linked to GM foods. But there’s no evidence that GM foods in general are more likely to trigger allergic reactions than non-GM foods, according to a study from Harvard University. GM foods also have many health benefits....
