Romans 3:21-26

...Christians. Scholars have applied various single purposes for the epistle, yet agreeing with Lea and Black, Paul “wrote Romans with a threefold purpose. [First, Paul] was seeking support for his projected visit to Spain (Rom. 15:24-28). [Second, Paul] wanted to explain his theology and apply it to practical issues in daily life. [Third, Paul] wanted to urge the Romans to a greater unity than they presently had (Ro. 14:1-15:13). Literary Context In its entirety, the book of Romans is God’s “gospel” or “good news” of righteousness to a depraved humanity. Flow of thought in the letter moves Paul’s greetings (1:1-17) to justification by faith (1:18-4:25) to hope of salvation (5:1-8:19) followed by a defense (9:1-11:36) and a transforming power (12:1-15:13) and concluding with Paul’s plans and closing remarks (15:14-16:27). In Rom 1:18-3:20, Paul wrote of the depravity of humanity and lost people due to sin. “No one does good, not even one.” The consolidated condition of sin is in the Jews and the Gentiles before the Holy God of Creation. Following the selected passage, Paul takes his readers through faith alone with an assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ (4:1 -8:39). Within Rom. 3:21-26, Paul moves to justification and the righteousness of God. Moo stated that Luther claimed this passage is “the chief point, and the very central place of the Epistle and the whole Bible.” The three translations of Romans 3:21-26 to compare are New American Standard Bible (NASB)......

...labor market should enable the company to control its operating expenses for the foreseeable future. High Electricity Costs – Not a Problem Unlike other manufacturing entities, an examination of Lasco’s financial data shows that high electricity cost is not a major problem for Lasco. This might be due to the fact that LASM is not involved in extensive manufacturing as alluded to above. The company’s production process results in utility costs (including electricity) accounting for a mere 5% of operating expenses. Economy weak, Lasco strong Producing for local consumption is challenging given the weak economic background. The economy eked out a growth rate of 1.5% for Q1 March 2011, after 3 years of contraction. It means consumers’ spending power is still lukewarm as the growth rate was not enough to make a meaningful dent on the unemployment rate. Fortunately for Lasco, their products are positioned at the lower end of the spectrum, which allowed them to benefit from a shift in consumer spending habits. On the flip side, a recovery in the economy could see consumers shifting away from Lasco products. To combat this, the company will have to ensure their products are not branded only as low cost alternatives but also as high quality products when consumers regain their Figure 4: GDP Economy vs GDP Distribution 1.0% 0.0% Mar-08 -1.0% -2.0% -3.0% -4.0% Sep-08 Mar-09 Sep-09 Mar-10 Sep-10 Mar-11 Distribution GDP lagging Overall GDP rebound GDP - Economy GDP -......

It not only protects but also prevents the carrier of the germs to be spread among others. The halal vaccine has a boosting and herd effect, and in repeated use it doesn’t lose power rather intensify it. ...of Economics. Globalization and the Information Economy: Challenges and Opportunities for Africa v technology, the organisation of business, production, learning and entertainment. Aspects of this transformation include: (1) the nature of the manufacturing company; (2) the changing nature of business dynamics; (3) major changes in the R&D activities of firms; (4) demand articulation in technological development; (5) technology fusion; and (6) institutional inertia. These changes are affecting nearly all sectors of the world-system, including intergovernmental organisations, the private sector, regional organisations, non-governmental organisations, and national states. This period of change engenders a potential restructuring of power relations and the development of new forms of inequality in the world. It is possible that inequality in the information economy could go beyond a division between the so-called developed and developing countries to exacerbate intra-country divisions. Specifically, divisions could sharpen between those individuals possessing the knowledge, skills and abilities to contribute to the global information economy (wherever they may happen to be located) and those who do not possess such skills. Towards a Definition of the Information Economy In defining the information economy, the authors acknowledge the existence of a rich academic and popular debate on the subject. A key component of this debate, is the impact of Globalization on the......

Singapore Separation

...LKY (Rong Xuan): -stares awkwardly at the headlines of a newspaper nearby that reads “Singapore is out”- Sigh...I guess this could not be prevented. Perhaps it was fate that we had to separate and fate for Singapore to be independent, a chance for us to prove ourselves to the world. Even so, it really saddens me that this merger no longer exists and that Malaya and Singapore are no longer one people, one country. I think that one of the most important factors was the racial tension between the people. I mean, how is one country to prosper if its citizens cannot get along? GKS (Sining): Yes and I think that the racial riots in July 1964 evidently displayed the severity of the racial tensions between the Malays and the Chinese. s National Organization). They tried to create a social hierarchy where Malays were superior to all other races. For instance, there are spots which are specially reserved for bumiputeras, who are the indigenous people of the Malay Archipelago, in post-secondary learning institutions. This evidently is not fair to the other races and is an obvious show of prejudice and discrimination. We cannot exactly blame the people for being upset, resulting in riots. JA (Yanqi): Hey! What do you mean it is UMNO’s fault?  I am not one to mince words. There was strong, valid discontent among the Malay population on the way Mr Lee had treated them. To take my speech out of context and to suggest that I (and UMNO) instigated the riots is not fair reporting. In case......
