Climate Change
Currently some scientists are blaming the climate change and global warming on greenhouse effects in the atmosphere while others are blaming the sun for warming up the atmosphere, some are also stating we as humans are to blame for polluting our atmosphere with chemicals that heat up the atmosphere and never make it out into space, which in turn is causing the earth to be more warmer. Some scientists say the increase in green house effects are causing us harm, others are stating it is preventing the earth from becoming cold once again and starting an ice age. Some evidence from all continents and most oceans show that may natural systems are being affected by regional climate changes and temperature increase. Whatever the reason scientists and environmentalists alike are trying to figure out what the main cause is and what needs to be done to correct the problem.

The sun is the fundamental source that brings us heat and light so some scientists believe that the output from the sun is increasing in turn causing warmer weather. There are previous studies stating that the sun was the cause of past climate changes. For example there was a small ice age from 1650 to 1850 in Greenland when glaciers and ice advanced up into the Alps. No studies were scientifically proven and if the sun were to be the actual cause scientists would see warmer temperatures in all layers of the atmosphere. Instead scientists have only seen a warming of the surface of earth and the lower parts of the atmosphere. Which leads the majority of scientists to believe greenhouse gases are the cause of heat being trapped in the lower parts of the atmosphere. The only major pro to having a warmer climate is preventing another ice age. Some scientists believe a warmer climate helps plant life and crop production as well but there is no evidence to support that claim.

...Break even analysis is the technique which is used to calculate the break-even point and assist managers in making key decisions. The break-even point of production is that level of output at which total costs equal to total revenue. In the above case, Katie is planning to make security badges in his business. However, before taking a final decision it is really important for Katie to perform break even analysis. This can be done through an equation method where the break-even point in units and in dollars can be calculated from the given data. The formula for the break-even point is, Break-even point = Total fixed cost / sales per unit – variable cost per unit By taking the appropriate figures from the data the break-even point can be calculated in this way. Break-even point = Total fixed cost / sales per unit – variable cost per unit BEP = ((500*12) + 410 + (150*12) +1875) / (4.85 – 2.65 – 1.08) BEP = 10085 / 1.12 BEP = 9004 units The break-even point suggests that Katie must need to sell more than 2621 number of badges in order to earn a profit. If the lower amount of badges are sold as compared to the break – even level than the company would incur a loss. Similarly the break-even dollars shows the amount of revenue which needs to generate in order to earn neither a profit nor a loss. The break even in dollars can be calculated by the formula BEP in dollars = BEP point * selling price per badge By taking appropriate figures from the data, the break even in...

...Abstract There is no doubt that as the American society has advanced technologically, economically, and politically over the decades that the positive and negative effects have trickled down into family structures. As time has passed, parenting rolls have changed and these altered rolls have led to an advanced but weaker society. It has been documented in the history books that the 1960s was one decade full of turmoil and change. During those times the United States was a country that was suffering from social, racial, and gender intolerance that sparked events that would transform this nation and propel it into the future. Women in the 60s were paid salaries well below that of men in every occupation. As time and our civilization have progressed, minority groups and women have both been granted equal rights with the rest of the American citizens. Changes to the family structures have been changed in light of equal rights. Over the past forty years notable changes include changes in women and men roles, increases in divorce rates, and the effects the role reversals have had on the children. Over a century ago more than two-thirds of household consisted of an employed husband, while the wives stayed home with the children. (Mintz, 2012). We all are aware that has changed. Women with children are more likely to work a fulltime job as well as her husband. Studies show that in 2010 there were more American women employed than men. (Castelloe, 2011). In addition,......

APTA is the national professional association representing more than 77,000 physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students nationwide. I also revise it to make it better. Each step is important in order to make my writing good. I will discuss in depth and detail about each part of my writing process. As soon as I get the topic and know what I am to write about, I think to myself of some of the ideas that I have that could relate to this piece of writing. Often times, I come up with a story in my own life that can relate or something that I know of that can influence my paper to have more meaning, not only to the reader, but also to me. It will make writing the paper easier if you can make a connection to the topic and relate it to yourself somehow. If I don’t really have a way to connect it I just brainstorm for things or ideas that can be included or used in the piece. I make a list of things pertaining to the paper so I can go through the list easier. If it is a really detailed piece, I sometimes use the web process. If it is necessary to the paper, I will research the topic and try to gather more information about it. If not, I just stick to the list or web. Each one of my idea gathering processes has its benefits and is used depending on the type of paper I need to write. At this point, I would now have all of my ideas and my “helpers” in writing my paper. I would start with the introduction of my paper. In a few paragraphs, I......

5 Forces Analysis

...5 Forces Analysis on the Paper Industry Looking at the position of the paper industry relative to the five forces model I had to determine exactly what constituted the paper industry. I had to decide between the Paper Mills Industry and Pulp Mills Industry and ultimately decided to analyze the Paper Mills Industry specifically when it came to paper industry as a whole. The NAICS Code that corresponds to the Paper Mills Industry is NAICS: 322121 or SIC Code 2621. Porter’s Five Forces Model of Competition includes the firm’s, or in this case the paper mill industry’s, position relative to current competitors, suppliers, customers, potential new entrants and potential substitutes. Over the next few pages I will conduct a five forces analysis of the Paper Mills Industry. Current Competitors: The degree of rivalry in the paper industry is the center of the five forces and the other four forces branch off of this. The first aspect to look at is the number and position of companies within the paper industry. There were 445 companies in 2009 and as of 2013 there are now 119 companies in the industry. This industry still has many competitors within the industry and therefor, there shouldn’t be any impact of any particular company. This industry is large enough where these firms can prosper without having to steal market share from each other and this is a positive for the paper industry. The second key factor is the industry growth rate and if there is room to increase......

Survival Guide

...Survival Guide Let’s Get Started On the first day of classes with Axia College, it is important to login and download the course materials and syllabus. I have found that by making folders under My Documents labeled first with the course name, and then inside have folders labeled each week 1-9 where I save the relevant materials for the weeks work. After downloading the files to the appropriate files, it is best to break up the syllabus. I like to copy and paste each week of the syllabus to a word document filed again under the corresponding week. This makes it easy to access what is needed for the week. It is also important to download the course calendar to keep a closer watch on when assignments are due. By looking at the course calendar at the beginning of each week you will be able to manage your assignments accordingly. After reading through the course syllabus and downloading course materials the next step is to check the main forum. The main forum is where your instructor posts information about what changes may be made for the week and also posts the weekly discussion questions for you to answer. In the main forum only the instructor will post topics. This is the area in which we as students post replies to the teacher and also our classmates. These posts are the only ones that apply to your weekly participation grade. It is very......

I think I always have plenty of information on the topic that is being discussed in the paper. Another thing I think I do well at is formatting my papers. One of my strong points is knowing when to start a new paragraph and knowing how much information I need to put in that certain paragraph. There are also several things I want to improve on when writing college papers. One thing I would like to improve on is organizing my thoughts. Another thing I struggle with is my choice of words. I am not very good at using a wide range of vocabulary in my papers. I also want to improve on my use of punctuation. Lastly, I would like to improve on thinking of better topic sentences and also the ending sentences of each paragraph. I struggle with trying to think of the last sentence in the paragraph because I do not want to repeat information, but I do what to recap what I was just discussing in the paragraph. ...No one will argue that good writing requires not only knowledge of subject - it requires specific "writing" skills, which are not so easy to master. No one ever claimed that everyone has to be a writer in full sense, yet contemporary students feel pretty much like this, with all the load of papers and essays to write overnight or by "the end of the week". For sure, education is a must and the way to it is not paved with roses, still the only thought seems to plague the minds of learners today - who might write my essay, or write my paper, or save me from this burden, in other words. Young people have to study, definitely so, yet sometimes we all need time with family or just time to be alone and refresh our minds and energy, but the growing speed of life does not provide us with such luxury. Now it is time to change the situation. Our company has relatively long and totally successful history of catering to the students' needs in terms of demands like "write my essay", "write my paper" or "help me write my essay". We deal in the widest possible range of topics and provide papers of all academic levels - from school to PhD theses. We offer expertise, integrity, punctuality and more that moderate prices, which makes us perhaps the best company in the field (it is not an exaggeration, rather statement of the fact). If you wreck your brains with the questions "Who can write my essay for me?", or "Who can write my paper for me (term paper, or coursework, or something else)?",......
