There are many different music genres. These genres vary from country to rap to jazz. My all- time favorite genre, without a doubt would be rock’n’roll; it’s for the soul. Throughout the years of Rock music there have been some rock star’s to change the face of Rock as we know it. Although, I love many of the people that changed rock’n’Roll, Nikki Sixx is the greatest because he had the worst addictions and while in the midst of them, he created liberating music and made everyone else’s life a living hell; including his own. You are considered a Classic Rock group if you made it big time during the 70’s and 80’s. Feelgood album Nikki moved out of Van Nuys and into Hidden Hills. He would seclude himself from the outside world for months at a time and ended up losing complete contact with reality. He then decided to see a psychiatrist and told him, “life on drugs was better than this.” (Sixx 397) and then got diagnosed as clinically depressed and chemically imbalanced. They prescribed him an anti-depressant called Prozac and he finally began to feel comfortable in his own skin without being high. So then he went to Canada to record Dr. Feelgood with Bob Rock while staying sober the entire time. When he finished the album he went back to L.A.; and the drugs. He went on tour for the album he had just finished in Russia and played his first ever show sober. Brandi Brandt and Nikki got married in 1989, in Hawiia. Shortly after his first child, Gunner Sixx was born. Then Storm Sixx was born. His marriage was getting taint and once again, drugs were his comfort. A year later while trying to stay sober on tour with AC/DC and Metallica he slipped on the drugs. As Brandi and Sixx’s marriage was on the outs, Nikki held on because he didn’t want to let his children down like his father let him down. “..Being unhappy seemed a better alternative to leaving my children fatherless..” (Sixx 399), and the one time that they had sexual intercourse she got pregnant with their third child, Decker Sixx. They went to court and fought for their children and collateral’s. Nikki was permitted to keep the mansion and they agreed upon joint custody. A few years down the road he met Donna a Playboy playmate and fell in love with her. So, he sold his mansion and moved into a small rental house in Malibu with his three kids and Donna’s son Rhyan. He eventually married her on December 23rd, 1997.
