This supplement is a record of my actions in this investigation.
On December 22, 2015 I was assigned this case to follow up. This investigation involves Ms. Karen Guadalupe Cabrera a Fourteen year old George Washington School student. I returned from leave on January 4, 2016, and made multiple attempts to reach Guadalupe Cabrera (parent) but I was unable to reach her by phone. On January 6, 2015, I stopped by 824 Madison Street Apt 201, but received no response. I touched base with Officer Savoy who verified the number. I called again and reached Guadalupe on January 8, 2016. I received permission from Guadalupe to speak to her daughter at school.
I arrived at George Washington School and responded to Officer Savoy’s Office. Karen Cabrera responded to the office and initially had an attitude with meeting me again. I explained the purpose of my meeting with her was for running away on December 19, 2015. I used a rip assessment form as a guide for my questions.…show more content… She reported being gone for 4 days and told me she had been staying with Michelle Cruz. She said that she knows Kristian, but he is affiliated with Michelle and not her (Per Officer Savoy they stopped being friends because of this incident). Karen reported no medical issues and said no one exploited her or sexually assaulted her. Karen said she has no fear of living at home and used the number 1 to describe her level of safety. Karen reported she only speaks to her older sister about any problems she has and admitted to liking to smoke Marijuana. Karen denied having friend actively involved in any gangs.
It should be noted that Officer Lopez charged Christian Vasquez for contributing to the delinquency of a minor under police case # 15-188971. Karen is known to go to 5471 Sheffield Court Apt# 52 and also appears to frequent 3200 Commonwealth Ave Apt#202
