SUBJECT: Use of Medical Protection System (MEDPROS) data in the determination of individual Soldier medical availability for Human Resource Command (HRC) Assignment

1. Purpose: To inform active component Soldiers of MILPER message 11-384, issued 15 December 2011, is superseded by MILPER 12-249, issued 6 August 2012, expires 6 August 2014.

2. Facts:

a. The MILPER 12-249 provides the procedure for determining individual medical availability for HRC assignment using MEDPROS Medical Readiness Classification (MRC) codes and MRC Reason Codes (MRCRCD).
