Happiness is something that many have debated and argued on for years. From the way happiness can be found, to the quickness that it can be lost. Happiness though does not have to come from the things around us, it can come from within our very being. It can be found in the interactions we have with others. And even the smallest, most insignificant of experiences can bring someone a happiness that could mean the world to them. And although the sayings that many see and have been spread around typically have to do with finding inner peace or searching within yourself, it does not mean that there this is the only way to find peace from within. And above all else, I believe that happiness can be found even in the most unlikely of places. This is because of the fact that happiness, though generally talked about, does not have a uniformed meaning and is something completely different for each person. …show more content…
The author uses her own personal experiences with happiness apps and how they did little to help her with her happiness; instead, they increased her frustration and anger. This is due to her getting notifications every hour with a self-motivation quote. She thought she was being messaged by someone, which caused her to get aggravated when she got her hopes up. The author then went on to talk about how she would have more hope of increasing her happiness if she would have tried to make friends and interacted with others more than meditating and using happiness apps. This is due to her viewing happiness as something more external and that can be found at a much higher degree when interacting with others and going out and doing activities. She ended with saying that when trying to increase our happiness, we should try and socialize and hang out with friends than trying to find it within
