Have you ever wonder would it be better to take Face to face classes or online class?

There are many options available for those who choose to further their education. Students can choose online courses, face to face classroom setting, or they can choose both. Face to face classes require students to attend class on a regular schedule basic at a specific date and time. Online students are considered non-traditional students and have the convenience of accessing their classrooms from the privacy of their own homes. This essay will cover the differences and similarities of both online and Face to face classes.
While online education and traditional education are different approaches to higher education, they are similar because both have teacher/student interaction, classroom assignments, and course reading materials. Whether we choose to further our education online or in a traditional school environment the ultimate goal is to obtain a degree. The internet has given us the opportunity to obtain a degree from the comfort of our homes which is convenient for most working adults. Online college requires students to manage their time wisely because they have a greater responsibility. However, traditional students have a set schedule to attend school. Students choose online college because of their lifestyle and its convenience. Most adults juggle working full time jobs, taking care of their families, and school. In conclusion my opinion is that if you don’t have the time for face to face classes online would be the best option simply because you can work around your schedule. Another reason online classes are effective with a busy lifestyle the teacher are more understanding of life’s curve balls and can work with you to insure you get the most out of you education experience. Another view to look at if you’re the type of students who’s learning style is where you have to have someone explain the material, before have a full understanding of the material then face to face would be a better route to go. In addition, if you not responsible enough to keep up with assignments and track the due dates then online classes are highly not recommended, but at the end of the day the choice is yours hopefully you choose the best option to help you reach your education goals.

Learning Styles

...The Environment: The Role It Plays in How One Learns Have you ever found yourself sitting in a classroom or at a lecture and afterwards not remember anything that was just mentioned? On the other hand, how about that same material was being taught to you and instead of being lectured to you, you were given the opportunity to see it happen or do it for yourself; this time you remembered all the information. People in the past, present and future face this common issue. We all have our own way of learning, and a lot of factors can play into what we remember, and how well we remember them. One factor that contributes to this is the way you specifically learn, or your learning style. There are many types of learning styles out there, but the three most well-known and agreed upon types are Visual, Auditory, and Tactile/Kinesthetic. They all have their own style and setting that make them effective to each individual. A second factor is the setting of the environment you are in. In today’s modern society, the standard classroom is not the only setting to learn in. As such, there is the “traditional” classroom setting versus the online classroom. A third factor is the actual environment you are in and the way it can aid or inhibit your ability to learn. The first type, the Visual method, a person learns and remembers most effectively by having something shown or presented to them. With visual learning, you are more inclined to remember material that has graphs or...

Consumer Behavior in the Asian Market

...president at Labbrand, suggests the name might not work well in China. “We have already found in previous research projects on car brand names, that names with this term were not a favourite choice in China because they are a little too spiritual”. • Given both Labbrand’s expertise and MG’s experience, the acquisition might be the perfect opportunity for repositioning the Saab brand, especially if the product line were to change. However this move is not risk-free. • Saab’s name “萨博” is widely recognized by the Chinese audience, so renaming might mean losing loyal customers. To solve this Vladimir Djurovic, president of Labbrand, believes that “instead of renaming, Saab could consider developing a better tagline to fit the Chinese market and make the brand more vivid in the imagination of Chinese consumers”. Chivas Regal Trademark Case • Chivas Brothers failed to establish that the spirits brand was “well-known” in China before the registration of Chivas Regal clothing in 2003, which would have been grounds to deny the application. Before the 2003 registration by the Wenzhou squatter, Chivas Brothers (the brand owner) had registered the marks in a number of Classes, including 33, which includes alcoholic beverages. However, just because a brand owner registers the mark in one Class this does not automatically protect against other registrants for different goods/services or for products in other Classes. The board has said the Zhejiang man didn’t violate Chinese trademark...

...can social networking work to promote better health? The National Institutes of Health (NIH) believes that if people promote healthy lifestyles within their social networks, public health as a whole will significantly improve. Recent studies have shown that people's behaviors rub off onto their friends. Bad habits like smoking and overeating are contagious, say many researchers. But so are good behaviors like eating healthy, exercising and getting good rest, which is why NIH is offering funding to scientists willing to work on improving public health through social networking. "We've come to realize more and more that how people live and function in social networks is really important to health," explained Deborah Olster, acting director of the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research at NIH. Several researchers have already come up with creative ideas to promote better health through social networks. Dr. Nicholas Christakis of Harvard Medical School believes that creating artificial social groups around things like losing weight or eating better will help to encourage unhealthy people to improve their lifestyles. Christakis also suggests using social group "leaders" to influence their existing social groups with custom-tailored health messages. People who hold significant influence within their social circles could promote cutting high-fructose corn syrup from their diets, for instance, and many of their friends would follow suit because of the nature of their...

...future. An important and recent development in India’s consumerism is the emergence of the rural market for several basic consumer goods. Consumer behavior is affected by a lot of variables, ranging from personal motivations, needs, attitudes and values, personality characteristics, socio-economic and cultural background, age, sex, professional status to social influences of various kinds exerted by family, friends, colleagues and society as a whole. We have developed a HSSE model that is: Health, Safety, Sophistication and Environment of Indian consumer. It is found that that today’s consumers strictly follow their culture, tradition and values, as a result of which foreign companies were forced to give an Indian touch to them in order to succeed in India. McDonalds, MTV, Pepsi, Star TV, Coca Cola India and many more had to Indianise themselves to flourish in India. The Indian consumers have shown another major change in their buying behaviour. They just don’t want availability of products; they also want better experience, services and ambience. This has led to the growth of shopping malls where a shopping, entertainment and... | | | | Indian Consumer MarketA change from pyramid to sparkling diamond India’s ascendance as...

...illuminate theory” (Harvard, 2000). The use of cases based on or around real organisations and/or current issues provides an entirely different approach to learning from that of lectures or more conventional tutorial exercises, where students solve specific problems in isolation from the world of business. Case preparation is a significant part of both undergraduate and postgraduate business study – particularly in the English-speaking world – and it is important to learn to do it effectively and efficiently. I have provided two introductory readings to help you with this process: “Learning Information Systems with Cases” (a pdf file available from your KXO223 MyLO resources) and “Notes on Writing a Case Study Report” (included in this document as Appendix A). Please begin by reading these carefully. Cases are usually based around real-world companies. I have drawn on two difference types of source for the mini-cases in this assignment: real organisations (which have been anonymised to the greatest extent possible) + up-to-date commentary, often from well-known tech blogs, which are designed to highlight industry opinion on a particular topic. Abstract

...Abstract: | Knowledge management is identified as a key success factor in most industries today. While data or information can be stored independently from people, knowledge is bound to people who use it for their interactions. The main goal of knowledge management is to improve the usage of knowledge in the enterprise. Knowledge management systems are not only organizational memory information systems. They also contain organizational standard procedures and a certain cultural attitude. A reference framework gives implementation hints mainly influenced by technical possibilities. The knowledge management system reference architecture contains layers of sources, repositories, taxonomy, services, applications and user interfaces. A software tool that largely corresponds to this reference framework is the Knowledge Café. Possible applications of this tool to the area of hospitality and tourism are described in this paper. | Information technology has changed how businesses operate and succeed in today’s global economy. New Times for Education: Issues of Development & Fairness

...New times for education Issues of development & Fairness RUBEN DE FREITAS CABRAL SYMPOSIUM – RICCI INSTITUTE 27 NOVEMBER 2009 MACAU The world is full of people who have never, since childhood, met an open doorway with an open mind. The implication of these words from E. B. White, a famous American writer and winner of the Pulitzer Prize, refers to something that happens to the vast majority of people in the developed and in large segments of the developing worlds, which is schooling. Hardly anybody denies the importance of schooling. At the very least, places must exist where parents can leave their children, especially when both have to go to work for the better part of the day. The relevance, however, of what happens in schools is another matter. Schools are still mired in the predicament of transmitting and withdrawing known knowledge, if that is at all possible. It is the process that Paulo Freire used to call the banking concept of education: The teacher makes deposits in the heads of students which are followed by period withdrawals (tests, quizzes and all other manners of justifying the purpose of supposedly depositing knowledge). Freire goes on to say that For apart from inquiry, apart from praxis, men cannot be truly human. Knowledge emerges only through invention and re-invention, through the restless, impatient, continuing, hopeful inquiry men pursue in the world, with the world, and with each other. (…) Yet only through communication can human...

... or broadcast for distance learning. PREFACE Rationale We agreed to produce the instructor’s manual for the sixth edition of A First Look at Communication Theory because it’s a first-rate book and because we enjoy talking and writing about pedagogy. Yet when we recall the discussions we’ve had with colleagues about instructor’s manuals over the years, two unnerving comments stick with us: “I don’t find them much help”; and (even worse) “I never look at them.” And, if the truth be told, we were often the people making such points! With these statements in mind, we have done some serious soul-searching about the texts that so many teachers—ourselves included—frequently malign or ignore. As we have considered our quandary, we have come face-to-face with the central paradox that characterizes the genre: Teaching manuals tend to be distant, mechanical, impersonal, and lifeless, when in fact good teaching is immediate, flexible, personal, and lively. In this manual, therefore, we have attempted to communicate to fellow teachers...

It dispels the myth that you have to be extroverted to be happy and successful.” —JUDITH ORLOFF, M.D., author of Emotional Freedom “In this engaging and beautifully written book, Susan Cain makes a powerful case for the wisdom of introspection. She also warns us ably about the downside to our culture’s noisiness, including all that it risks drowning out. This book is brilliant, profound, full of feeling and brimming with insights.” —SHERI FINK, M.D., author of War Hospital “Brilliant, illuminating, empowering!
