Throughout my six year membership with the Prince Kūhiō Hawaiian Civic Club (PKHCC), I have been assigned many positions and projects that have contributed to the organization’s mission to stimulate civic efforts and promote Hawaiian culture and values. Most recently, I became the membership chair who is in charge of managing the membership information system, collecting membership dues, sending membership fee invoices, and processing new member applications. I decided to take on this responsibility because PKHCC’s need for improved information systems and databases was apparent to me, and I knew I could help by incorporating PKHCC into my school projects.
