In looking back through the history of health care in our country, it’s always been reserved to those who can afford it and not to the general public. Going back further in our history you can see this more evidently than you can even today. In the early days of the health care industry and the health insurance industry in the United States, poor people sometimes didn’t have access at all, not even through emergency rooms and neighborhood clinics, like they do today. Low income families often times suffered through illnesses, or even died, because they could not afford proper medical care. I’m mainly interested in pursuing a career in health care administration. I’m not very comfortable working with people on a one on one basis, but I’d still like to do a job that provides meaningful help to low income and under insured people. I want to be able to try to find solutions and to create and administer programs that will provide a way for these people to receive the same quality care that people who have insurance are receiving. A shot of adrenalin was administered in later years on an outpatient basis which was more effective in alleviating the constricted airway.
