What are the historical trends in population growth?
The world population is at 7 billion in 2012 and is growing by 80 million each year. The forecast is that in 2030, the population will reach 8-9 billion. The population has been growing gradually until 1900 when the population suddenly multiplied rapidly. In 1800 in took 130 years for the population to double, however a hundred years later, it was only 65 years to double the population and this number has been decreasing ever since. It is expected that third world countries will triple the population within 50 years. From the income/birth and death rate per 1000people, we can see that as the income raises, the gap between birth rate and death rate increases. The death rate decreases as income increases but so does the birth rate, however the death rate decreases by a higher margin. Half the world’s population growth happens in six countries: India, China, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Indonesia. More economically develop countries often find out that between 1800 and 1900, the death rate is almost equal to birth rate; however in less developed countries, there were 3 times more births than deaths by 1900.
What impact does population growth have on resources and international conflict? The problem with overpopulation is that there are not enough resources spread across the world, some parts of the world has too much and some do not have at all. This is mainly the problem because resources are scarce in places where the birth rates are much higher than death rates which mean the problem is increasing in importance over time. However, we must understand that overpopulation is not the sole reason places with high population growth suffer from hunger. The main reasons for this are poverty and politics, governments that are not able to provide for their people and no monetary resources to purchase food. The world

...In 1996, KFC remained the world’s largest chicken restaurant chain and third largest fast food chain. It held over 50 percent of the U.S market in terms of sales and ended 1995 with over 9000 restaurants worldwide. KFC opened 234 new restaurants in 1995 and operated in the 68 countries. One of the first fast food chains to international during the late 1960’s, KFC had developed one of the world’s most recognizable brands. Despite of the KFC’s past success in the U.S market, much of the KFC’s growth was driven by its international operations, which accounted for 94 percent of all KFC restaurants built in 1994 and for 100 percent of the increase in 1995. Domestically the restaurant count dropped by seven restaurants because of unit closures, intense competition among the largest fast food competitors resulted in a number of obstacles to further expansion in the U.S market. Expansion of free standing restaurants was particularly difficult. Fewer sites were available for new construction and those sites, because of their increase cost, were driving profit margins down. However the most critical or major issue of this case in the future will be their ability to handle changes. Their system is older, in terms of facilities and product form, and their attitudes still don’t reflect the realities of their changing business environment. One on the great challenges at KFC is that there is a lot that needs fixing and the toughest challenge is that they have...

Most of theminuscule perks that we receive are in addition to our basic pay. Keep in mind that thebenefits received by corporate America are in no way the same.In some GovernmentAgencies, Big Government is required to provide certain employee benefits, such astaxes for the benefit of Government employees, or even insurance by certain insuranceproviders.I have found that because I am a retiree that I should carry the minimuminsurance that the government offers my Family and me, and then pick up my owninsurance through an outside insurance carrier that I know and can depend on.I haveoften felt that offering benefits packages is the government’s way of attracting andmaintaining certain employees. For example, within the government hiring system, aperson may receive similar job offers from two different companies, if the pay is aboutthe same, the job candidate may choose the government agency that provides the bestbenefit package.
