...Marriage and divorce, what is the problem with people these days? Better yet, what is up with the divorce rate these days? In today’s age the divorce rate has reach 50 percent of marriages that happen. This statistic is certainly one statistic that I am very upset about. Marriage is meant to be a joining of two bodies into one. As in Mark 10:6-9 “In the original creation, God made male and female to be together. Because of this, a man leaves father and mother, and in marriage he becomes one flesh with a women-no longer two individuals, but forming a new unity. Because God created this organic union of the two sexes, no one should desecrate his art by cutting them apart.” That is what marriage truly means. However, when there is divorce, this is a clear violation of his purpose. Divorce nowadays is overlooked as something that is just legal matter. In God’s eyes, marriage is permanent when two individuals become one in flesh. This being one flesh of course having sexual relations. However, in today’s society, for a couple to be considered married they must go through some sort of ceremony which also includes legal documentation. As for the biblical teaching on divorce, the bible states that divorce is a concession for one’s hardheartedness, and that it is not part of God’s original plan. (Matthew 19:8-9). The bible, (especially the New Testament) doesn’t allow divorce. This is evident in Matthew 7:10-11, “And if you are married, stay married. This is the......

Emergence of smartphones: Who introduced smartphone first apple, rim, htc, nokia. Actually IBM was the first organization offered consumers a highly advanced mobile phone. In 1993, the company introduced what could be considered the world's first smartphone - simply called Simon. This first smartphone featured an amazing array of features - email, address book, clock, calendar, note pad, and even the ability to send and receive faxes. During the mid-90's, Nokia began to heat things up by introducing its first line of smartphone - the Nokia 9000 series. This phone was not only the first in a series of popular smart phones manufactured by Nokia, they were also the most expensive, coming in at 20-40% more costly than its rivals. The Nokia 9210 was indeed the first real and true smartphone due to its open operating system. After that company like Rim, HTC and apple started producing smartphones. Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel - Why They Appeal to Such Broad Segments in Asia.

...Happy Meal promotion by McDonalds in Singapore in 2000 where McD’s customers could buy a Hello Kitty or Dear Daniel doll for $2.60 Singapore dollars caused such a frenzy (and a ruckus too) that it has caught the interest of both the media, global marketers and academics alike. In the end, this Hello Kitty McToy promotion increased the interest and sales for McDonalds; but with a different consumer; and not the intended target group - the prepubescent girls and boys! The reasons for this unexpected and overwhelming appeal for this McToy campaign in Singapore and the rest of Asia can be postulated to the following. They are however divided into two categories – the first covering the Asiatic region in general; and secondly, specifically to the Singapore market only: A) Across Asia: i. The Growth, Charge and Impact of the Kawaii Concept: Kawaii is a key concept that characterizes the modern Japanese culture. Literary translated as “cute” in English or figuratively as “things that are desired”, this culture originated with the 15 to 18 year old girls in Japan. Soon, marketers and advertisers in the fashion, publishing and the cute-little-gadgets industries recognizing the wide potential and appeal of this niche segment began to leverage on it. As this market segment is typified by the characteristic “not how much they spend” but “it’s that they all buy the same things”, hot items (like Hello Kitty) when caught by the wave can easily reach 100% market penetration in......

Arts2213 Literature Review

...Japanese popular culture has been around for many years and is the leading wave of Asian popular culture. It includes a variety of media such as manga, anime, film and music. Japanese popular culture is also portrayed through physical forms such as products, celebrities, personalities, maid cafes and may others. SMAP is a Jpop boy band with immense popularity from Japan and is one form of Japanese popular culture. Darling-Wolf suggests that SMAP's popularity is due to its careful construction of appeal and masculinity. SMAP is not well-known for their talents in singing, but rather for depicting Japanese personalities. Darling-Wolf refers to SMAP members as 'life-sized' pop idols (Aoyagi) who personifies a typical Japanese boy or girl which allows audiences to relate to them well. This is supported by Yano's research which highlights that fans form emotional bonds and connections with celebrities due to their charisma and personalities. Darling-Wolf that SMAP is popular is due to its intertextuality from appearing in TV shows, movies, talk shows and many more media forms which allows fans to feel a proximity or closeness. Intertextuality allows SMAP to be able to portray their personalities better and reach out to more audiences, which enables them to connect with their audience. Darling-Wolf argues that SMAP's fame is highly due to its constructed appeal of masculinity, which creates the 'perfect female fantasy'. SMAP members portray pluralities of masculinities which......

Hello

...Hey hi hello First use Hello, with that spelling, was used in publications as early as 1833. These include an 1833 American book called The Sketches and Eccentricities of Col. David Crockett, of West Tennessee,[2] which was reprinted that same year in The London Literary Gazette.[3] The word was extensively used in literature by the 1860s.[4] Etymology According to the Oxford English Dictionary, hello is an alteration of hallo, hollo,[5] which came from Old High German "halâ, holâ, emphatic imperative of halôn, holôn to fetch, used especially in hailing a ferryman."[6] It also connects the development of hello to the influence of an earlier form, holla, whose origin is in the French holà (roughly, 'whoa there!', from French là 'there').[7] As in addition to hello, halloo,[8] hallo, hollo, hullo and (rarely) hillo also exist as variants or related words, the word can be spelt using any of all five vowels.[citation needed] Telephone The use of hello as a telephone greeting has been credited to Thomas Edison; according to one source, he expressed his surprise with a misheard Hullo.[9] Alexander Graham Bell initially used Ahoy (as used on ships) as a telephone greeting.[10][11] However, in 1877, Edison wrote to T.B.A. David, the president of the Central District and Printing Telegraph Company of Pittsburgh: Friend David, I do not think we shall need a call bell as Hello! can be heard 10 to 20 feet away. What you think? Edison - P.S. first cost of sender & receiver......

...The patient doctor relationship is a bond that is different from any other. Friendship, privacy, trust and empathy are all equally involved and should be respected. This is usually only achieved with face to face, in office patient contact, facing a physician, with whom one has been a patient for a great length of time. Considering the time invested into finding a doctor that feels comfortable it is no wonder why leaving ones doctor might be a bit stressful. With advancements in recent technology one does not have to ever experience the heartbreak that comes from leaving a doctor. An increasing number in the medical community are beginning to use the internet to complete virtual appointments with their clients meaning that one could truly see their physician from anywhere in the world. This wonderful idea had one huge flaw, the fact that there are certain nuances, such as taking a patient’s vitals that only a personal doctor’s visit could ensure. E.M.T seeks to bridge the gap between virtual and office visits with its newest product, “Hello Doc.” “Hello Doc” is a mobile application that encompasses the need for personal contact with the physician and the ever growing need for time management, with the additional home use medical attachments such as thermometers, stethoscopes’, and blood pressure cuffs This cutting edge software uses the blue tooth enabled medical devices to transmit patient information to the physician to be analyzed for further diagnosis. ...PHP Tutorial - Learn PHP If you want to learn the basics of PHP, then you've come to the right place. The goal of this tutorial is to teach you the basics of PHP so that you can: • • • Customize PHP scripts that you download, so that they better fit your needs. Begin to understand the working model of PHP, so you may begin to design your own PHP projects. Give you a solid base in PHP, so as to make you more valuable in the eyes of future employers. PHP stands for PHP Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP - What is it? Taken directly from PHP's home, PHP.net, "PHP is an HTML-embedded scripting language. Much of its syntax is borrowed from C, Java and Perl with a couple of unique PHP-specific features thrown in. The goal of the language is to allow web developers to write dynamically generated pages quickly." This is generally a good definition of PHP. However, it does contain a lot of terms you may not be used to. Another way to think of PHP is a powerful, behind the scenes scripting language that your visitors won't see! When someone visits your PHP webpage, your web server processes the PHP code. It then sees which parts it needs to show to visitors(content and pictures) and hides the other stuff(file operations, math calculations, etc.) then translates your PHP into HTML. After the translation into HTML, it sends the webpage to your visitor's web browser. PHP - What's it do? It is also helpful to think of PHP in terms of what it can do for you. PHP will allow you......
