Title: Response Paper 1: Chapter One
Hernando de Soto, a Spanish conquistador and explorer and Robert La Salle, a French explorer went to the same part of North America, Mississippi area, but during different times. They both experienced things differently and there was change in the ecosystem and human population from the death of de Soto and the beginning of La Salle’s exploration. The ecosystem increased while the Native American population was decreased drastically.
