...For those of you who suffered mini-aneurysms when you didn't see Skrillex or Boyz Noise’s names on the artist list, have no fear, they will be at Electric Zoo 2013 better than ever. Performing as Dog Blood on Friday night at Riverside stage, this set is sure to attract all of the real fans that love quality EDM. Boyz Noise and Skrilly's work on side project Dog Blood has propelled the duo to the top of OWLSA's roster, and the to the top of my lineup list this year. Deviating from the commercial success of their two individual names, Dog Blood has become a music sanctuary for both to get back to their roots and explore a different genre. Rooted in both techno and house, Dog Blood's style also incorporates many heavier, dubstep elements. Often classified under acid house, Dog Blood’s sound is definitely very unique from other artists of equal acknowledgement. Since their creation in 2012, Dog Blood has come a long way from their not-so-quite humble beginnings. Their very first single, “Next Order”, very quickly made it to the top of Beatport’s techno charts. After a very busy period between both Skrillex and Boyz Noise towards the end of 2012, Dog Blood emerged from its hiatus to throw down the house at Ultra 2013, casually releasing a few singles including the smash success “Wild For The Night” remix with A$AP Rocky. Since then, they’ve played EDC Vegas, Glastonbury Festival, and now the pinnacle, Electric Zoo. We’ll be seeing you at the stage of these two geniuses on Friday...

The Effect of French and Raven Power

...The Effect of French and Raven Power on knowledge Acquisition, Knowledge Creation and knowledge Sharing: An Empirical Investigation in Lebanese Organizations Dr. Silva Karkoulian, Lebanese American University, Beirut, Lebanon Miss Yasmina Osman, Lebanese American University, Beirut, Lebanon ABSTRACT It has been documented that not much is known about the kinds of French and Raven powers that foster the acquisition, creation and sharing of organizational knowledge. This study extends the French and Raven power literature to the Lebanese Organizations and provides an empirical evidence of knowledge acquisition, knowledge creation and knowledge sharing. Results from the regression analysis of this study show that expert power is positively and significantly associated with knowledge acquisition, knowledge creation and knowledge sharing. INTRODUCTION In the second half of the twentieth century, knowledge management proved to be a new managerial reform suited to the rapidly changing environment. Managers were encouraged to consider and treat their employee’s knowledge as a crucial source for the success of their organizations (Huseman and Goodman, 1999; Stewart, 1997; Sveiby, 1997). Many scholars have focused their attention on knowledge management. Grant (1996) argues that a source of organization’s competitive advantage is when organizations apply a great deal of effort to develop new knowledge and technology. This new knowledge and technology...

...Vol. 2, No. 2 International Business Research Case Study of Factors Influencing Jobs Satisfaction in Two Malaysian Universities Edward Sek Khin Wong (Corresponding author) Faculty of Business & Accountancy University of Malaya, 50603, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia E-mail: edwardwong@graduate.uwa.edu.au Dr Teoh Ngee Heng Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman 46200, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia E-mail: tiohnh@utar.edu.my Abstract This work identifies the factors that measure job satisfaction of faculty members at two selected and major universities in Malaysia, using ten major factors corresponding to job satisfaction using the Herzberg Two-factor Theory to determine how these selected factors are related to job satisfaction of Malaysian faculty members. The conclusions drawn from this study are that the major sources of job satisfaction for Malaysian faculty members are shown to be policy, administration, and salary. The relevant sources of dissatisfaction are personal achievement, personal growth, interpersonal relations, recognition, responsibility, supervision, the work itself, and the overall working conditions. This study has a number of practical implications for institutional administrators, because if the educational institution has no instrument designed to measure faculty perceptions of their jobs and work, these administrators could elect to use the same instrument that investigates the areas of job satisfaction to gain similar results. Online Gaming Addiction

...The Art of Computer Game Design by Chris Crawford Preface to the Electronic Version: This text was originally composed by computer game designer Chris Crawford in 1982. When searching for literature on the nature of gaming and its relationship to narrative in 1997, Prof. Sue Peabody learned of The Art of Computer Game Design, which was then long out of print. Prof. Peabody requested Mr. Crawford's permission to publish an electronic version of the text on the World Wide Web so that it would be available to her students and to others interested in game design. Washington State University Vancouver generously made resources available to hire graphic artist Donna Loper to produce this electronic version. WSUV currently houses and maintains the site. Correspondence regarding this site should be addressed to Prof. Sue Peabody, Department of History, Washington State University Vancouver, peabody@vancouver.wsu.edu. If you are interested in more recent writings by Chris Crawford, see the Reflections interview at the end of The Art of Computer Game Design; the Virtools Swap-meet interview with Chris Crawford; and Chris Crawford's webpage, Erasmatazz. ...Unlucky Cupid ➶ Prologue ★★★ She is smart, HE's intelligent. She's gorgeous, HE's sizzling hot. She's popular, HE has huge resemblance to a world-wide known teen-age superstar. She's snob but somehow nice, while HE is the gentleman every girl will die for. Will rivalry cross their fate? Or Love will play their lives? He was always mistaken for the popular singer, whom She really hates. Will Her high school life end up just like those typical one's? Or will He make the best or even worst out of it? ➶ Chapter 1: Interference /KATHERINE'S PERSPECTIVE First day of school, sigh. Simula na naman ito ng hectic schedule, little time, less fun, and whatsoever bothersome school works. Pero first day of school sometimes is not that bad, kasi usually pupunta ka lang sa unahan at magpapakilala. Orientations, introductions, chit-chats - yeah, that's pretty much it. Kaya on second thought, I'm going to enjoy this first day lalo na dahil makikita ko na ang aking mga hmm, how should I describe my friends? Loud speaker-like? Loquacious? So ayun, siguro yun ang dahilan kung bakit parang naging "Play Girl" itong si Lindsay, in other way. Hindi naman talaga. Pero all in all she's one of a kind...

As though led by the knight’s gaze, the girl also turned her face toward the same direction. Then— she saw despair. There was darkness. Pure darkness as thin as paper, yet of an unfathomable depth. It had emerged from the ground in an ovoid shape with its lower section cut. A scene that evoked mystique with indescribable apprehension. A door? That’s what the girl thought after having seen it... Then after her heart beat once more, her thought was verified right. *Drippp* Something fell from the darkness. The instant she realized what it was— “Hiii!” —The girl let out a piercing shriek. An existence that no mortal could ever overcome. Red orbs swayed like turbid flames inside the hollow orbits of the...

Work, Culture and Identity in Mozambique and Southafrica 1860-1910

...Acknowledgments ix Acknowledgments This book owes a great deal to the mental energy of several generations of scholars. As an undergraduate at the University of Cape Town, Francis Wilson made me aware of the importance of migrant labour and Robin Hallett inspired me, and a generation of students, to study the African past. At the School of Oriental and African Studies in London I was fortunate enough to have David Birmingham as a thesis supervisor. I hope that some of his knowledge and understanding of Lusophone Africa has found its way into this book. I owe an equal debt to Shula Marks who, over the years, has provided me with criticism and inspiration. In the United States I learnt a great deal from ]eanne Penvenne, Marcia Wright and, especially, Leroy Vail. In Switzerland I benefitted from the friendship and assistance of Laurent Monier of the IUED in Geneva, Francois Iecquier of the University of Lausanne and Mariette Ouwerhand of the dépurtement évangélrlyue (the former Swiss Mission). In South Africa, Patricia Davison of the South African Museum introduced me to material culture and made me aware of the richness of difference; the late Monica Wilson taught me the fundamentals of anthropology and Andrew Spiegel and Robert Thornton struggled to keep me abreast of changes in the discipline; Sue Newton-King and Nigel Penn brought shafts of light from the eighteenthcentury to bear on early industrialism. Charles van Onselen laid a major part of the intellectual foundations on...
