History
The Home Depot was founded by two men who had a dream to open the first home improvement store. It was in 1978 when Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank along with an investment banker Ken Langone made this dream come true in Atlanta, Georgia (Home Depot). Home Depot has been the world’s number one home improvement retailer for quite some time now. The Home Depot has a team of more than 300,000 associates who share a commitment to providing unbeatable customer service each and every day.

Human Resource

Home Depot outsources a range of recruitment processes; such as leadership programs and most of store-management hiring. Recruitment process outsourcing simply makes things easier for Home Depot without it being a hugely difficult project." The Home Depot has currently outsourced human resource jobs since 1997. Through the HROs technology, the company’s 300,000 employees are able to retrieve pay information anytime via a secure website (Patriot HR). Home Depot has at least one Human Resource manager at each of its big box stores and one at its international locations.
