Optional Homework D
1. The downsides to social media that are occurring at P&G is that the people are using them for recreational use and not work use. They are not using the social media for the marketing part or any part for the company they are using it for them self to socialize with there friends and seeing what there friends are up to. Which isn’t helping the company because the company is paying them to do the job and they are not doing the job they are supposed to be doing.
2. Yes, because now they don’t know what is going on in the social media world, which could hurt there company. Social media is a big thing right now, its good for marketing and advertising the product or just your company in general. But the employees could also be fooling around with social media where you think they are getting the job done but in reality they are not they are using social media for there on use or personal use rather then to help the company out.
3. I think restricting various websites is good because your paying your employees to do the job you want it to be effective, and not be doing their own thing while working that’s not what your paying them for. I believe that only certain websites should be blocked, for special reasons, because on social media you can mind a lot about your competitors but sometimes the employees over use it and don’t actually do the job. So I think that some websites should be restricted while others should not.
4. I somewhat agree with Cintas Corp with blocking Netflix, but social media is a big marketing opportunity for companies. Also with Pandora some people work better when listening to music, but maybe instead of Pandora they can have an iPod with headphones or a radio on low in the office. Social media is sometimes okay to block, but for advertising the company or product that is important to use because a ton of people use

...do play a major role in helping their child develop good study habits. Children should begin to develop homework habits as early as first grade. Providing a positive and supporting study environment is a key in getting good grades. Help your child develop good organizational skills by encouraging them to stay focused on their homework, but not completing it for them. Another important role of homework is not only for children to learn about a subject, but also to teach them responsibility. Being successful in school requires hard work and developing a habit of working toward positive goals. It is important for parents to be involved with their child’s study time by spending time with them, such as helping them with their homework, but not by completing it for them. For example, parents can check to see if the answer to their math problem is correct or help them understand an assignment by explaining it to them. When helping your child, be sure to give them praise and positive comments as this will let your child associate positive feelings with studying. Effects of Modern Technology on the Study Habits of Student  “When it comes to study they only depend on technology rather than reading books. Four Basic Principles to Enhance Study Skills

...Four Basic Principles to Enhance Study Skills 1. Make doing homework a positive experience: associate it with love and affection, freedom, fun and self-control. 2. Make homework a high priority. 3. Use homework to teach organization skills and improve learning skills. Remember that the primary purpose of homework is to improve learning and foster work habits. 4. Set expectations for homework, then provide and enforce logical, meaningful consequences if those expectations are not met. Make Doing Homework a Positive Experience • Provide support and praise for homework completion. • Be available to provide non-critical assistance. • Give children choice in when, where, and how they complete homework assignments. • Encourage your children to complete homework well enough that they have a sense of pride and control over their own learning and levels of competence. • Maintain a positive and helpful attitude: avoid criticism and anger. • Help children understand what types of homework they enjoy, and encourage them to choose assignments accordingly. When given a choice, some students prefer written reports; others prefer hands-on projects. • Use homework preferences in developing a homework schedule. Some children prefer to complete the assignments they like least first, while others prefer to do their easier or favorite work first. • If a child dislikes a subject, find ways to make it less frustrating. For example, set a goal of doing five math problems and...

Yet, it is crucial that teachers should recognize certain basic elements in learning to help students to gear up for greater advancement. One of these basic elements is study habits. In the global setting, Igun (2007) of the Nigerian Universities and Delta State University library stated that the study habits of students in some universities is a common problem because of some factors such us barriers in creating a study environment. In the national setting, Philippines ranked second and third to the last in the English and Math National Achievement Test result (National Framework Plan for ICT’s Basic Education, 2005). The cause of this drastic decrease in the performance of the students was supported by a study conducted by Acido (2010) who identified students in public high school in Manila who performed low due to poor study habits. In the local setting specifically in Davao City, Nacito (2006) and Azarcon, et.al. (2004) found that Grade Six students enrolled in Piedad District of Toril S.Y. 2005-2006 as well as the Freshmen students of Erico T. Nograles National High School both need to improve their study habits due to their low academic performance. In addition, college students of the University of Mindanao...
