HORSEHEADS (WEMY) - The 15-year-old male who called in a bomb threat at the Walmart in Horseheads has been charged with falsely reporting an incident.

New York State Police say the minor is not being tried as an adult, but if he were, he would face more severe charges and not just a minor felony. Lieutenant Michael McDarby, of the New York State Police, says if he was charged as an adult, he could have been sentenced up to seven years in jail. Since the caller in Saturday's bomb threat was a minor, the teenagers name will not be released.

Saturday morning, a call was made into the Horseheads Walmart that a bomb was inside and would soon be detonated. The store was quickly evacuated and soon after, the New York State Police, a K-9 unit
