What Are the Factors to Be Put Into Consideration for a Firm Trying to Enter a New Global Market

...What are the factors to be put into consideration for a firm trying to enter a new global market As with any new business plan, the first step you should take before crossing borders is to do your homework. Take these 20 critical factors into account before you begin: Factor 1: Get company-wide commitment. Every employee should be a vital member of your international team, from the executive suite to customer service through engineering, purchasing, production and shipping. You're all in it for the long haul. Factor 2: Define your business plan for accessing global markets. An international business plan is important in order to define your company's present status and internal goals and commitment, but it's also necessary if you plan to measure your results. Factor 3: Determine how much you can afford to invest in your international expansion efforts. Will it be based on ten percent of your domestic business profits or on a pay-as-you-can-afford process? Factor 4: Plan at least a two-year lead-time for world market penetration. It takes time and patience to build a great, enduring global enterprise, so be patient and plan for the long haul. Factor 5: Build a website and implement your international plan sensibly. Many companies offer affordable packages for building a website, but you must decide in what language you'll communicate. English is unarguably the most important language in the world, but only 28 percent of the European population can read it. That percentage...

Confucianism

...one person over the other, the older the younger the man over the woman. Each person has to have obedience to the other one that is in the subordinates. But the superior one has to have a loving responsibility to the other. The ideal person is one that has the qualities that include saint, scholar and gentleman. Confucius termed the name Jinzu to mean the ideal person. Unlike the petty person, who cannot transcend personal concerns and prejudices and acts only for his own gain, the junzi is cultured and knows how to act and speak appropriately in any situation. He is sets an example of a man whose virtuous influence promotes a flourishing human community. Confucianism is still relevant in today’s China. Recently, President Xi Jinping became the first Chinese president to address an international meeting on Confucianism. The open embrace that today’s China and world has for Confucius and his teaching is due to the sweeping...

How Pius Xii Protected the Jews

...The twentieth century was marked by genocides on an monstrous scale. One of the most terrible was the Holocaust wrought by Nazi Germany, which killed an estimated six million European Jews and almost as many other victims. During this dark time, the Catholic Church was shepherded by Pope Pius XII, who proved himself an untiring foe of the Nazis, determined to save as many Jewish lives as he could. Yet today Pius XII gets almost no credit for his actions before or during the war. Anti-Catholic author Dave Hunt writes, "The Vatican had no excuse for its Nazi partnership or for its continued commendation of Hitler on the one hand and its thunderous silence regarding the Jewish question on the other hand. . . . [The popes] continued in the alliance with Hitler until the end of the war, reaping hundreds of millions of dollars in payments from the Nazi government to the Vatican."[1] Jack Chick, infamous for his anti-Catholic comic books, tells us in Smokescreens, "When World War II ended, the Vatican had egg all over its face. Pope Pius XII, after building the Nazi war machine, saw Hitler losing his battle against Russia, and he immediately jumped to the other side when he saw the handwriting on the wall. . . . Pope Pius XII should have stood before the judges in Nuremberg. His war crimes were worthy of death."[2] One is tempted simply to dismiss these accusations, so wildly out of touch with reality, as the deluded ravings of persons with no sense of historical truth...

A Good Nights Sleep

...A Good Night’s Sleep It’s a short story written by Brian McCabe about a teacher called Lockhart, who lives on third floor of a tenement building in Edinburgh. He is an insomniac, which is sleeplessness, that’s one problem, but what makes the problem even worse is that his neighbors make a lot of noise, especially the old man from the apartment upstairs and the couple that lives next to him. One night he cannot fall asleep, because he as mentioned before is an insomniac, and then he hears something bumping softly against his door. He is lying, thinking about lots of stuff that night, for example is he thinking about the time where he was young and was going to parties and having fun, and then he’s having troubles figuring out a subject for the nxt mornings discussion with his class. Later that night he walked out to check what it was that was making the noise against his door, and found out that a homeless girl was sitting in his staircase. He talked with her, and asked her to sleep in his son’s bed, but she refused. Later that night came his neighbor couple home from a pub or something, and then they kicked her out of the staircase. Later Lockhart lay in his bed, and could not stop thinking about her, and then he suddenly heard the noise again and knew she was there. The story takes place in Lockharts apartment, and in the staircase outside his apartment in Edinburgh, late at night. Lockhart, the main character is an average man living a almost normal life. He has an apartment...

Moore Housing Contractors

... Moore Housing Contractors is negotiating a deal with Country Realtors to build six houses in a new development. Countryside wants Moore Contractors to start in late winter or early spring when the weather begins to moderate and build on through the summer into fall. The summer months are an especially busy time for the realty company, and it believes it can sell the houses almost as soon as they are ready, and sometimes even before. The houses all have similar floor plans and are of approximately equal size; only the exteriors are noticeable different. The completion time is so critical for Countryside Realtors that they are insisting that a project management network accompany the contractor’s bid for the job with an estimate of the completion time for a house. The realtor also needs to be able to plan its offerings and marketing for the summer. They want each house to be completed within 45 days after it is started. If a house is not completed within the time frame they want to be able to charge the contractor a penalty. Mary and Sandy Moore, the president and vice-president, respectively, of Moore Contractors, are concerned about the prospects of a penalty charge. They want to be very confident that they can meet the deadline for a house before they enter into any kind of agreement with a penalty involved. (If there is a reasonable likelihood that they cannot finish a house within a 45 days they want to increase their bid to cover potential penalty charges.) ...

Descriptive Essay: Hamilton Hotel

...Hamilton Hotel stands its ground in South Laredo, Downtown at an appalling twelve stories high. The hotels prominent location, stylistic beauty, and the community’s determination to keep it preserved uphold the building to a high degree of architectural and historical integrity. Taking a walk through downtown, towards the esteemed Hamilton hotel is as if taking a stroll through history. Right across from the hotel is a pharmacy and a neighboring building that are only a few years younger. On the front, right corner, lays the Jarvis plaza and on its left is the U.S. Post Office/ Court House edifice. The Hamilton hotel is situated smack in the middle of all these historical landmarks. The favorable route is through the Jarvis Plaza and the U.S. Post Office/Court House. It is two o’clock in the afternoon and the sun is out with no mercy, but the green-leafed, willowed trees surrounding the court house provide a sufficient amount of shade. There’s very little commotion. No yelling or running, only pedestrians sitting on benches and taking in the pretty view. At the end of the pathway, on its right, is a sign reminding everyone to cross only at the cross walks. On the left of the pathway, is a fire hydrant whose red paint is chipping off and is leaving an uncovered patchwork of yellow. More significant is the Hamilton hotel at the front of the path. The hotel features a Spanish Renaissance Revival...

Mental Health Experience

...Mental Health Experience Mental Health can be defined as a state of emotional and psychological well being in which an individual is able to use his or her cognitive and emotional capabilities, function in society and meet the ordinary demands of everyday life. (The American Heritage Dictionary. 2009) With that being said, as nurses, we work with many mental health patients. Working in home health has given me the opportunity to work closely in the home of some very “mental” patients. One in particular is M.M. She is a 62-year-old female that lives in a low-income apartment in Harriman, TN. She has been diagnosed with depression and schizophrenia. She attends Ridgeview outpatient clinic weekly and gets all of her medications thru them. The nurse at the outpatient clinic sets up her medications in zip lock bags for three times a day, dosage and labels each individually morning, noon and night and the dates as well. I was called in to perform lab work and to provide educational teaching regarding the medications and to monitor if the meds were being taken right. My first call to the patient was to introduce myself and inform her that I would be coming to visit her and what time I would be there. When I arrived at her apartment she was waiting for me in a chair outside of the building. She led me to her apartment and was fairly quite at first. Her apartment was small but very clean. She was very proud of her apartment and showed me around. I explained to her what I...

Home

...March 10 2014 Living in a house is far better than living in an apartment Living in a house opens up doors that are not available in an apartment. One advantage is the choice of people I have to interact with. When I lived in an apartment just to take the trash out I would have to put on shoulder pads and mow down 8 kids just to get there. As opposed to in my home I don’t have to leave if I choose not to. I am fully independent with all my amenities at my fingertips. Another perk is the space we have as opposed to in an apartment, I was forced to share a wall with someone so if I chose to have company or play my music there would be an overweight security guard knocking on my door hassling me to turn it down. By owning my own home now I sort of feel like my own boss in the sense that I am not regulated by the manager of an apartment. The only rules I have to abide by are my own. I also feel overall safer with my family, and the environment is much more peaceful to relax in. Where as in my apartment I felt if I wanted time outside it would take a pair of head phones and a blindfold to relax. I guess the best thing about a home is coming home at night and not having to to see a bunch of people who have their own agenda and could care less if I had a long day or that I just want to get ton my parking spot that has more than likely occupied by someone else while as in my house I pull in my garage and I’m done. Now don’t get me wrong I understand...

Applicable Housing in China

...Applicable Housing in China Abstract The paper is about the research of applicable housing in China. It explains the definition of the applicable housing. There are some data of the research and the main problems that this kind of house meet in China at present. I also will talk about my opinion about whether applicable housing should be continued and how to make the applicable housing really help the low-income families. Applicable Housing is very special in Chinese real estate transactions. It is a government policy that provides the low-income families a house in a low price so that everyone can live in their own house. It began in 1994. It means as the development of Chinese real estate economy, there are still some Chinese can’t buy houses even though more and more Chinese can afford to buy their own house. Wealth is not evenly distributed in China. As one online dictionary said, establishing the housing supply system mainly with the economical and applicable housing was fit for the market economy of socialist and current circumstance of China. The target of applicable housing is very good. But the fact is that it works not very well. Some real estate developers haven’t built and sold the building that meet the standards of Applicable Housing while they enjoy the treatment of this government policy. As the result, here comes many problems, such as the price is much higher, the buyer is not the poor and so on. Here are some data from the research about applicable...
