How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies
One of my family’s treats is homemade chocolate chip cookies. From the smell of the kitchen to the gooey, hot cookies coming out of the oven, making chocolate chip cookies makes me a hero in my home. As long as there is a gallon of milk in the fridge to go along with this yummy treat, my family is ready for chocolate chip cookies anytime. Oftentimes, my sister and I make the cookies together to enjoy some conversation and time while making a delicious treat. Chocolate chip cookies not only bring my sister and me together, but they provide us with a delightful treat, and they allow us to share them with our entire family once we have our finished product.
Usually my sister and I prepare in advance. We make sure we have enough ingredients between the two of us, and we make a list of missing ingredients to pick up from the grocery store. My sister usually comes to my house to bake. On her way, she stops to the store and brings the needed ingredients as well as the ingredients she had at her own house.
For chocolate chip cookies, one of the many different types of cookies that we bake, we use the Pillsbury cookie recipe found on the back of the bag of chocolate chips. We have found through the years that this recipe is our family’s favorite. Therefore, the most important ingredient is the Pillsbury chocolate chips! This particular recipe is based on the eleven ounce packing that we often use. Depending on our final goal, we may use larger bags of chips, following the directions on the back, or we may double or triple the amount on the back of the eleven ounce bag. For this particular process, the eleven ounce bag is our guideline.
When I know my sister is on the way, I preheat the oven to 350 degrees. The instructions say 375 degrees, but after lots of experience, we know that my oven works better with less heat and more time. Once my sister arrives at my house, we find all of the ingredients and put them on the table. We also make sure to have bowls of mixing an electric mixer, one or two spatulas, and two spoons for scooping the dough onto the baking sheet. We also use two baking sheets at a time in the oven, so we have four overall, two for prepping while the two sheets are in the oven. Once the preparations are set, we begin combing the ingredients to make our final product.
First we take a small bowl and combine two and quarter cups flour, one teaspoon baking soda, and one teaspoon salt. Then in a separate, larger bowl, we combine two sticks of softened butter, three quarter of a cup of granulated sugar, three quarters of a cup of packed brown sugar and one teaspoon of vanilla extract. Next, we take the electric mixer and beat the butter, sugars, and vanilla, slowing adding two large eggs one at a time. At this point, we take our original, dry mixture and gradually beat it into the wet mixture. Finally, we stir in the quintessinal ingredient, the chocolate chips.
We next take our concoction and use spoons to scoop it from the bowl and place rounded drops of cookie dough on the dough on the baking sheets. We put eleven spoonfuls of dough on each baking sheet, baking twenty-three cookies at one time. Next, we put them in our preheated oven, and we set the timer for ten minutes. Again, the recipe says nine to eleven minutes, but from extensive experience with my oven, we have learned the ten minutes works the best. While the cookies are baking, we prepare the two other cookie sheets by placing eleven spoonfuls of cookie dough on each pan when the timer goes off, we pull the cookie sheets with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies out of the oven, and then we place the two other sheets of cookie dough into the oven. We again set the timer for ten minutes.
When the next batch is baking, we allow the just-baked batch to cool on the sheets for a minute or two. We then use a spatula to loosen the cookies from the baking sheet, and then we place the cookies on my cutting board to cool about eight to nine minutes. We then clean off the two baking cookie sheets that we had already used. Once they are clean, we put more cookie dough on the sheets to make another twenty-three cookies. As it is approaching the time limit for the cookies in the oven, we take the cookies on the cutting board and place them into Rubbermaid containers for later serving. We repeat this until we run out of the cookie dough.
Although we are not quite finished, once the first batch has cooked, we are tempted to try-out creation. Both my sister and I feel the quality assurance check is quite necessary on each batch that comes from the oven, often resulting in a stomach ache by the end of the baking session. We relish the first taste of our delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. They are still warm from the oven, and they simply melt in our mouths. We know we have to save the majority to share with the rest of our family, but we enjoy our tasty treat as a reward for our baking endeavors.
Chocolate chip cookies are a charming treat anytime. When they are baked homemade, for some reason they seem to be better; maybe it is because the love inside! It is a tradition I have spent years taking part in with my sister and sharing with the family. I hope to pass this tradition on to myself through years, as our two generation of my sister and I can bake these delicious cookies for our family.

What comes to mind when you think of vegan chocolate chip cookies? Some people may think the words “vegan” and “chocolate chip cookies“ don‘t even belong in the same sentence, while most people think about wheatgrass and soymilk and instantly become uninterested. Vegan chocolate chip cookies taste so close to traditional chocolate chip cookies that most people can’t tell the difference between the two. Today, we are going to show you how to make vegan chocolate chip cookies without the use of dairy products. However, before enjoying a batch of these delicious, mouthwatering treats, there are a few steps in preparing them. Mix your ½ cup water with your envelope of hot chocolate in a medium sized sauce pan. Whisk it to make sure all the chocolate is combined. Add the ½ cup of coconut milk, whisk again. Sprinkle your gelatin on top and let it sit a few minutes. Turn on low/medium heat and mix the gelatin until all is combined. Add ¼ cup sugar and simmer slightly until sugar is combined. Add your food coloring until you get the caramel color desired. I used two drops. Let mixture cool to warm. Pour in your ½ cup of butterscotch schnapps. ...How to Make the Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies Angelica Rivera Imagine walking into a room with the sweet aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. This sweet, sugary, buttery goodness in a pan can easily be created in just a few steps. What you will need to start are tools and ingredients. The tools you will need to make the dough of the cookies are the bowl, mixer, and the measuring spoon. You will need half a stick of butter that melts well; sugar which is sweet enough for you, but not too sweet. You will also need brown sugar and salt. Those ingredients can often be used for other dishes, so you can just get whatever you use the most. Also, it is best to use two fresh eggs with your cookies; you will need vanilla, and flour. Oh, and do not forget chocolate chips for your chocolate chip cookies. Now you are ready to start. The first thing you need to do is to melt the butter at room temperature. When the butter is ready, mix with sugar, brown sugar, and salt. You can recognize the butter is ready by blending it easily with other ingredients. Then, break two eggs in, making sure no shells fall in. You will have a hard time taking them out even if a single fragment goes in. Mix again with vanilla until it becomes creamy. It usually takes about two minutes to make it perfect for the next step. Include flour and chocolate chips. The last step is baking. Be sure to preheat the oven between 350 and 400 degrees. ...Chocolate Chip Cookies Makes approx. 25 cookies  Ingredients: * 2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour * 1 teaspoon baking soda * 1 and 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 3/4 cup butter, melted * 3/4 cup brown sugar, loosely packed * 1/2 cup granulated sugar * 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk (room temperature) * 2 teaspoons vanilla extract * 1 cup chocolate chips or chocolate chunks Directions: 1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. 2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt. Set aside. 3. In a medium size bowl, whisk the brown and white sugar until they are looking happy together. 4. Mix in the melted butter. 5. Whisk the egg in a small bowl, and add to mixture. Then whisk the egg yolk, and add it.  6. Finally, whisk in the vanilla.  7. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix together with a large spoon or spatula. The dough will be very soft, yet thick.  8. Fold in the chocolate chips. Because of the melted butter, the chocolate chips won't stick to the dough that well. That's okay, just make sure they are evenly dispersed. **Now, I need to say that chilling dough is all the rage, and can be very important, but I literally don't need to chill this dough. You need to evaluate the preliminary design for the company’s production process in order to make key policy decisions, including what prices to charge, what equipment to order and how many orders to accept, and to determine whether the business can be profitable. After seeing this happen time and time again, I realized that many software projects perfectly matched what I call The Parable of the Cookie. Let me share it with you. (Actually this is a true story.) The parable of the cookie One night mom is gone… 17-year-old daughter needs some cookies for an activity she is in charge of. She has no time to make them so she asks her 10-year-old sister and her friend who is over for a visit if they will make them. They are not sure if they can, but they have made cookies in the past. And so they are willing to try. The older sister says she will tell them the recipe and answer any questions. She then runs off to do her planning leaving the young girls to make the cookies. The recipe, as it turns out, was pretty much your basic chocolate chip cookie recipe with a few optional ingredients so you could customize the cookies to your taste. The girls did not write down recipe because they did not have a paper to write on or a pen to write with, and besides the older sister was supposed to be there to answer questions The first problem arose when they could not find any butter, so they used margarine instead. This may not seem like a big deal, but anyone who is an honest cook knows these two ingredients are not really interchangeable. --- Λ --- - The girls mixed up......
