As a leader, many people believe they have the authority to manage, but that may not be the case. When you have established the role of a leader, you’ve assumed responsibilities as someone who directs or guides their fellow peers in the right path. Leadership is something that is learnt and developed over a period of time through trial and error. Those that possess leadership skills are described as being competent and having sound judgment in order to make a corporation successful, being dependable, without trust how can your employee give you their full potential to get any task accomplished, and lastly building not just a successful corporation, but a successful relationship with those that work for you. That type of leadership skill will not only bring organizational success, but also the loyalty of your employees.
Management on the other hand, is not necessarily a learnt skill; with management you have a proposed organizational goal that requires people and other organizational resources. Through this never ending cycle you perform a series of task, which requires you to reach your organizations goal. As a manager, if you are only focused on gaining success of the expected organizational goal, those that work for you will often notice this and create a work environment of ineffective production.
