After reading the article HOW TO SLOWLY KILL YOURSELF AND OTHERS IN AMERICA BY KIESE LAYMON. Laymon writes his story through the perspective of a black, male, with two parents who were college parents. The story in Laymon’s article talks about different stories, including causing a conflict with one of his friends in class, where he was the one found at fault. his days as a student at the formerly all-white Millsaps College, his time at the predominantly white and liberal Oberlin College, hip hop culture and the beginning of his teaching career.
